Can confirm, noticed on only those two things as well. I also noticed that all whirlwind mounts now seem to have their visuals inverted?

Same here, have renamed many toons, even since the change, but bought one today and now cant rename a character. What can I say, I have many toons and sometimes like to rename them. Meh.

Same here, doesn't actually seem to be possible. Not from diamond shards either.
