  • I think most of the "presence" attacks don't work, or if they do they are hilariously under-powered. It's really depressing that the only meaningful options are power, HP, and healing-related ones. The one presence that worked for me was Vicious Dire Wolf, but it's so bad for damage that it's not really justifiable.

  • All of this speculating about 50% probabilities and weird maths... But I would guess that @baronstragen had crit conflag feat slotted, which procs a (crit) smolder on every critical hit. This alone would heavily skew the crit % of smolder to be more than 50%, since it's being triggered on each crit.

  • Companion influence is independent of bondings. Companion influence increases your companion's stats. Bondings transfer stats from your companion to you. Upgrading bondings will increase your stats, but it won't affect your companion influence.

  • I believe the devs confirmed that there are 3 types of damage: physical, projectile (physical ranged), and magic. Anything that isn't physical is magic.
  • Reporting a player for botting should be easy, like reporting them for spam, but it isn't. You have to dump their toon@handle to the log and submit at ticket for their @handle, all by retyping those pieces of information. @nitocris83 feature request: add a more streamlined bot reporting flow to the interaction UI.

  • Got it, I misunderstood. The implication is then that the higher gear character could improve damage output in scaled content by reallocating stats back to ArPen and Accuracy. Which brings us back to the idea that it's optimal to have a separate set of gear for scaled content.

  • Both work lol... although one is likely not WAI. The way I think about Cocoon (as well as the electric AoEs in 2nd boss fight) is they are heal checks. 1st boss heal check is burst heal check on cocooned party member. 2nd boss heal check is marathon divinity management / group positioning and coordination.
