In a way I'm glad to see others with this problem since I thought my card was starting to die and was artifacting. lol I have a Radeon HD 6770. Shouldn't be a driver issue since both ATI and nVidea cards are listed on this page. ID say its either directX or a setting in game.

Windows 7 is actually pretty good at automatically recognizing parts and installing drivers. The may not be the best/newest drivers but hey will get the job done until you can find better ones if it comes to wiping the system

As for my opinion on overall buying a new computer I would not spend money on something now that is not a quad core or better. Especially in a laptop since it would be such a pain to upgrade the cpu and sometimes cant upgrade at all. A quad core for the little bit extra it is will last much longer before you are out…

The reason I brought up the hdd is because your system is still reading and writing unless you have that entire **** game loaded in memory and computers just dont do that...
