There is the eq emulator, Project 1999. However the developers arent going past Velious. So no AA. Which means lack of the top end play you remember.

A wipe would be in the games best interest. It would fix the game as well as all the mules from the gold sellers would be gone. they will not sell zen/ad if it is cheaper to buy from gold sellers. They are shooting themselves in the foot, in more ways than one.

I voted wipe. The purpose of a beta is to test and debug. When bugs of this magnitude do this much damage, a wipe is in order.
