Ehh, I wouldn't know really. Shields in older D&D rulesets usually mitigate a portion of damage, not absorb full damage, so that's what I was basing it on.

It is worth it. Your internet just sucks, and the guardians shield doesn't block full damage, it mitigates part of it. Guess you never really played any form of D&D before, have you? As for it being unplayable, I've had no problems with it so far save for this server crash, so for it to be unplayable, you need more proof…
