@demonmonger lemme just try that from my xbox....oh wait can't, anywho @artillery this is what I more or less what i ment, perhaps you just say it in a better way.
Plus we still have AOE at wills as I said before with WS, though I won't say it is better than WMS with how clunky the ability is. If they ever fix the sprint cancel glitch on the ability I would permanently run the ability over SS for it's DR and DMG debuffs it applies.
I don't think we need piercing resistance added to tenacity, preferably I'd rather see damage resistance dropped from tenacity and replaced with a direct damage reduction so all classes benefit from it equally.
What about with wicked strike being used for clearing mobs/adds, from what I've seen hitting 100k or so swings clears the field well (though this is on content less up to date, moving ice isn't out for us yet) however this power is bugged with using sprint cancel so mobility kind of goes out the window when using it.
I just ask, because when I first started playing I was IV as it seemed more useful, but swapped when a more senior guildy told me SM had superior overall damage and buff potential. I recently specced back to IV as I wanted to dip more into PvP; and now I'm noticing in my pve scene I'm getting my hardest recorded hits…
Can we take the complaints of player base else where please, I'd like to keep my thread open to suggestions for improvement. I'd still like to see improvements to the games charts as it would help build and comp testing (more so for console than comp players).
I'd have to say gear gap being the biggest issue of PvP currently , typically if somone isn't within around 300 IL of you your getting destroyed and any PvP player running in pre 2.8k IL is on a suicide march; I myself had a miserable time till I hit roughly 3k and even now it is bearable for me to run around. Second thing…
Ah I see, I got very used to PvP disabling active companion bonuses in a match I forgot about slotted companions not needed to physically be out to get the effects.
I already know of that exploit, the issue I was having was there were no companions active for either side while I 1v1 the other players. If what @metalldjt holds true I'll reroll my character drop thayan bastion from my build and hopefully stop killing myself from that.
I have to agree with @aryoux gear gap is the real issue here, no amount of special Q's will save PvP from gear gap. If you believe other wise make a fresh lvl 70 character and take the war born set and have a guildie do a match with you that is 1k IL above you and the same set; you'll find you drop mighty quick
If you don't want to see the charts there should be an option to turn it off, that or just don't pop the menu up and look at it. Either way this could be a positive aspect for any class as you could really get in depth for things you could measure with end game results, such as support classes could have overall impact to…
@demonmonger , I wanna hear some details on how you mean moving and attacking without stopping; do you mean while jumping around or more like warlock's dreadtheft kinda walk and attack? Cause I'll say the latter would be an interesting take on the game only if applied to at-wills (putting it on all encounters might be a…
I agree with @armadeonx with with removing life steal, i'm playing currently a 3.3k GWF and can run ahead of my group if I so choose in a CN run and stay alive from lifesteal and DR alone which is bogus in regards for any mmo like never winter. Lifesteal should be an extremely selective thing that is only achievable via…
@dread4moor I can tell you haven't read through all the posts or you just skim things and put your two cents in off a half gathered idea; otherwise you'd realize console can't get ACT and is the main reason I'd like a chart revamp, also I covered how this would improve team coheasion so just go back through and read again…
Yeah lemme log all my attacks while sifting through all the data my team, the boss, mechanics, companions, and adds put out add it up then take my stop watch and divide my totals so I can get that; or we could get a new chart that has a formula enacted to do this so I don't have to do it manually. Also why is everyone so…
Well I want to use terror for PvP for the multi effects that'll work well one being the root effect, the other def reduction (assist in tank killing), and finally the power reduction effect seeing as 40 percent reduction in power is pretty deep and will more than likely result in a bigger damage drop that can be provided…
Read above comments how this would prevent the paingiver rushers, them dying is a matter different all together along with blaming the healer which a reformed chart that shows average heal per second could help disprove their hype of blame game.
As stated above, the console players kinda guess and go off guides for our builds and overall effectiveness so a revamp to the chart would be nice for DPS accuracy, unless they make an extra download for the consoles to have ACT; I'd equally be okay with this as well.
Essentially all powers except hidden daggers, slam, grand fissure, or any powers that have the description personal power on them like "not so fast" (not sure why considering some of those are melee powers too)
Bit closed minded on it seeing as it can be beneficial for both yourself and devs in seeing overall placement of characters and help balancing, further it would rid the game of paingiver chasers as it'll stop those that rush ahead to rack big lump sum numbers for the end of the dungeon and force them to work with their…
So you can be blind to what your build can produce? I use the charts to some degree of seeing my build standing seeing as console lacks the usage of ACT.
I'm running trans fey right now for pve and wanna see if I'll be spending mountains of gold swapping enchants between pve to pvp, ran into a plague in PvP and got destroyed by it; it ate all my def. Right now i'm just wondering if the power reduction works in pve and if it is effective or just bleh for enchantments. PvP…
There should be a requirement, at least make battle scarred gear buyable with gold, if your winning it at lvl 70 PvP your either auctioning it or discarding it.
