Well, because you either have to engage the illiterati, or consign yourself to a life of seclusion. I don't see what's wrong with a simple Capture the Flag map. Traditional PVP Battlegrounds may not be "Genre-breaking", but they provide endless entertainment for people looking to kill and hour or two.

This. + massive AD -> top enchants. What class you play/what "skills" you think you have, are negligible next to that.

too many nodes, imo, or too great an area. even without mounts, I think people would just run around. no real sense in fighting in some random corner, and no real sense in fighting ON a node when there are 1-2 nodes unguarded somewhere. and no sense guarding a node when you're going to either be left alone, or ROFL-trained

to be fair to Cryptic, 4th July celebrations have always been lame in every game I've played. for one thing, not every country/culture celebrates it, for another, most people are outside BBQ or w/e. If Christmas/end of year celebration sucks, then I'd start complaining.
