I had a similar problem the only solution I could find was to use the "chasm props" rocks with glowing runes, etc... in them and rotate and arrange them so they looked like natural formations in the walls. I wish more color variety was offered but I had to work with what I had :) Hope that helps!
Thanks that worked! I used a slight modification that put up glowy bits around the general area where the mobs were and disappear when the sidequest was complete. :) On another note: is it possible to create a map transition that is not in the storyline?
