I went straight to MechWarrior online to try to keep my piloting skills sharp. Then I came back and realized the downtime was a whopping 4hrs. Now I'm thinking yet again that the developers should make the Foundry available to us when the game servers are down so we can work on crafting new content for them for free ;)
I agree that it is bad timing for players and for ensuring there will be enough people for stress testing. But that said, it is a beta test and early in it at that, so we should not be surprised if the servers either crash or are brought down at any time. I guess the same thing that crashed the server did it again. The difference this time is that the launcher comes up and it is the login server that appears to be refusing new connections.
There have been so many releases of the official rules for D&D and AD&D through the years that it would be impossible to satisfy everyone who comes to NO. If people are not happy with NO they can always go play another game or go back to pen and paper.
