Unless something changed with Mod 7, Spell Twisting + Icy Viens is the best control setup for a CW. MOF Renegade is the biggest Team DPS boost due to Rene feats + MOF debuffs.
^^actually the MOTH & DL skirmish are good practice. The mobs mostly hit like wet noodles, and move slower than mobs in T2s. Gives good practice for mobility & setting out your DPS/CC chain and not getting hit. It is possible to complete DL without getting hit a single time, and can just about do the same with MOTH. Once…
People have been asking for dual specs since open beta......considering the route the designers have gone, I think that means there is no way it will ever be implemented into the game....instead we will probably get whatever is voted as least wanted.
Was this determined or assumed? The old formula in Kaelec's guide made an assumption on the Intellect Devourer since both Blink Dog and Int Devourer weren't available for testing at the time. I have both, but never went back to check how they interacted. Has anyone else sit down to do the math on testing parses?
1. Leveling was always fast in Neverwinter. Faster than any other MMO I ever played. That being said, the only downside I ever saw to it was that the seals you gather leveling are useless. I liked the quick leveling. It still gave you plenty of time to play with different power configurations before you reach top level and…
Unless I misunderstood, everyone in the top 1000 gets the mount and the cloak? I still have not recieved either, and they are not at the Rewards Claim Agent I tried to submit a ticket in game...but seems to be some bugs with the ticketing system under GM Help. Help -> Request GM Help -> Items Selecting Other Item & typing…
One of the things I liked about the NCL event, was how many people were solo queuing. It was normal during the event to have high geared PVP focused players on both teams (often same guild on both teams), with the occasional full pre-made rolling through roflstomping the pug group. There really should be a solo queue (1…
I think the NPC still references the gear level for IWD, however I believe any character of at least level 60 can still go there via the world travel map and pick up the quests in IWD.
Hadn't looked at the description in a while. As I recall, the description used to have a much bigger range between the minimum & maximum damage values which seemed to represent the damage difference between a full health & low health target. That being said, the damage from disintegrate is below the tooltip damage on a low…
I think MOBs have armor penetration now, and you would have to stack a lot of defense to make it noticeable. I would say work towards 90k health. Combined with the damage reduction on trash mobs, it adds a lot of survivability. Regarding deflect, you can't stack enough of it on a CW really to make it good.
Should add that Lifesteal works differently than it used to (not sure if you had seen that). Now lifesteal gives you a % chance to heal for the damage dealt (30% additional proc chance reduction on AOE). Previously, it gave you % of damage dealt in health. It is no longer reliable, but is still quite noticeable.
Renegade for MOF. There are a few MOF builds on the first page of the Library. http://perfectworld.vanillaforums.com/discussion/1191744/pick-your-poison-mod-6-cw-pve-support-builds-post-spellstorm-nerf/p1…
Storm Pillar is one of the fastest activating at wills (behind CC) as far as I can tell. It is faster to activate than MM. I am referring to a quick tap, not a fully charged SP.
1 CW is still really useful for a team, however there isn't much point in stacking them anymore. That being said you could still run dungeons just fine with 3 CWs.
Also, if you use Storm Pillar, you can proc EoTS out of combat or target the ground at beginning of combat and activate it. It also procs Spell Twisting out of combat.
Everyone should realize that target lock & encounter spam macros are part of PVP. Ever wonder how those other players hit you with their entire encounter rotation faster than you can press 3 buttons (like a GWF putting out a fatal encounter rotation before you can break out of a Crescendo stun), or how some of those…
Your right about so many sources of chill, but that's what I really liked about the build. That being said CC seems to activate its first tick faster than any other at will for the quick tick between encounters, and the main hand AOE chill feature is just awesome. It reminds me a bit of regen on a mod 3 pvp GWF. A little…
^^There was a thread in the PVP forum the other day calling for a nerf to the Valindra set lol. Can't find the link, might have been locked/deleted. LOL is best for PVE & VT is best for PVP imo.
GF may be the best PVP class right now top end. They can hit like a freight train (as hard or harder than GWF), and the huge block angle makes getting to their back hard. If they are using target lock, its' about impossible to hit them from behind. You can use OF and if they block it, quickly dodge behind them to repel/EF.…
Something mentioned by yalaia that applies to most abilities is jump casting. Timings vary, but jumping in a direction and then activating your ability allows your momentum to carry you. This provides some mobility while still casting. (aka jump cast jump cast jump cast) It can be used with at wills (tapping not holding)…
It adds to ST & OF, but Chilling Cloud activates really fast. CC works well to just hold down the chilling cloud button while you rotate through the encounters. The thaum build also tends to have to move a lot less than the renegade builds. Also, OF will build your arcane stacks.
Chilling Presence is now the best damage class ability in any CW tree when using chill stacks even if not freezing. Conduit of Ice for chill stacks & to ensure chill stacks on a wide area & ensure they dont fall off (which they shouldn't anyway). If you are running SS then COI will yield significantly more dps than Chill…
