When did you replace your lvl 60 epic gear?

Leveling quite slowly, just not really drawn to anything yet ingame.

But managed my way to lvl 66.5, entering fiery pit. Up to now and including fiery pit, I have had zero trouble with anything. At what point did you all need to switch gear? Im still in my AoW 24k HP and mobs are a breeze to cut through with little worry about my own health.

Was the big cry about danger in the other zones (shar/dread/WoD)?

I know the dungeons, at least I hope/think Ill need to change out this gear, but did anyone really need to change to that WoD fang gear prior 70 (if not venturing into shar/dread/wod i suppose)?

and what do I replace it with when I hit 70 if I never have any trouble? still the WoD fang gear?

I took HV to lvl 62, then remembered I could buy the eternal set and switched it out for the eternal set. 40k HP and 13k power was something I'd never dreamed of last mod... Oh man, the CN possibilities. I could've soloed it regardless of my spec with those stats.

Please pardon my ignorance - is this "Eternal equipment" just something you can buy w/ gold and such, or did you have WoD/ToD currency saved up from before?

You need WoD currency. Each part needs 50 Dragon coins, 15 Claws, 20,000AD, and a little gold. Getting the 60 claws for all 4 parts will be the hardest part if you didnt do so before mod 6.

Did you mean the fallen dragon fangs, or are claws some other currency?

Yah they are the fangs. I know the gear exists, but I see no reason to acquire it at this moment.

I was curious what others thought of the gear. Or just generally curious why people changed over. No one really gave an answer cept kata saying the health was nice, but I havent had any issues staying alive cept if I go afk.

But really Ive seen no relevant answer as to why Id need to change to it. I can only imagine itll maybe help in IWD/DR/SHAR/WOD AT 70 but not really even before and everything based off lvling so far doesnt indicate I will. I only speculate lvl 70 there is some drastic change in difficulty in both the open world and expectingly in the dungeons.

    edit:
auld and cye still using there t2/t2.5-3 BI
rest saying they switched but for no other reason than just to switch.

I guess I shall continue leveling and see where I end up lol

I was using my HV until i've got 2 pieces of the new blue T1 set. T1s can be completed using the old sets, you just need to put some radiants in def slot and pay more attention.

I'm now leveling my SW and i'm still using the Accursed Diabolist set on it, but i'm probably going to switch to the new set as soon as i hit lvl 70, since i've already prefarmed a couple of pieces for it with my CW.

I wore the Profound set to level 70 solo on my CW, never teamed even once.

I think it depends on your class. If you are a HR, you probably need better armor.

I replaced mine at level 70 went from BI Corupted to full Burninig executioner set. At level 68 I had some two random droped items replacing my BI set parts because of HP. Nothing else.

Still questing with my P.BI in the airbender zone. Not really encountering much trouble if I've got a decent ping.

Its easy to hit lv 70!
my lv60.draconic gear was enough to lvl to 70.
just follow the storyline quest and you will have no problems.

Mostly ppl scrying about M6 because "they run straight to the Old maps" -
you should ignore all the old maps and just focus to do the new ones.
after lv70 you can go to sharandar or what ever.

if Cryptic had mentioned: "do not enter ALL the old maps till 70",
no one would cry about m6,

Lol pretty sure you could still find one or two thing to complain about in mod 6....

Anyway i replaced my gear at lvl 61 and never looked back, if you are planning to do any pvp whatsoever before lvl 70, the added hp is a must... For Pve i guess you could do the new zones without to much hazzle in your old stuff, didnt notice the mobs hit that hard before spineward rise, there some mobs hits in the 10-15k area each hit, so would probaly become more difficult but still doable in lvl 60 epics... You will miss out a lot of stats etc. but if you dont have the wod currency i guess you can do without it.

Although HV served me well and I had 30k HP prior ot he switch I got the Eternal gear after hiting 62. I like the HP (helps to relieve lag-related problems) and I like how it looks - makes my toon look like the warrior-Nefertiti or something :P

I used t1 epic until lvl70 and then switched to some dungeon rares for higher HP. Now it's impossible to progress further because pvp give no seals from the daily and you will get kicked from the 1600 dungeons if you dont overgear it.

Still in my level 60 gear, got to level 70 and now all I am doing is grinding through all the elemental maps to see if they are offering unified elements as quest rewards. I suspect I will stay in this gear until mod 7 comes along (if it comes along).

I switched out at level 66 when I got to Fiery Pit. Not because I needed to, but it seemed the Royal Guard set bonus didn't proc all that much anymore and I thought the extra HP would be nice.

I switched my profound GWF gear at lvl 65 for the blue pvp set gear for only 15k glory from npc, and I was in Helm.

Mid 60's since I was starting to invest in level 70. I went with the Eternal set. I don't pvp so at level 70, I wouldn't have any viable gear besides the eternal. HP is needed to do 70 content, otherwise you wouldn't survive a hit or two.

Seems pointless before 70. Even numerically it is dubious prior to 65 because of giving up good set bonuses prior to any strong gains, and after that you might as well wait out the big stats. That said, some of the blues I gathered were level 69, and the other stuff is pvp 70.

I switched once I hit 70, on the off-chance something good would drop during the Elementals stuff, which it didn't.

My main alt will be getting the Eternal gear the next time I log in with her and play.

Except for the fact that you get up to triple the xp in Dragon zones vs new leveling zones

I switched at lvl 66 at Firey Pit. I probably could have waited if I really wanted to but it was a big help for added HP...
