I have to agree with this. There have been so many times I have thought of getting a mount just to realize that I didnt want to waste my valuable room on multiple mounts. If this can be done with companions, I do not see why this cannot be done with mounts. Its something they could do that would make them money as well. People would be more willing to buy mounts if they could switch between them. Sure you can buy the accountwide mounts over and over after you destroy them, but the non zen mounts you cannot reclaim.

This question was brought up on Reddit the last time heyrogers did an AMA. The response was not positive.
Basically, because players don't really need more than one mount and many never buy more than one, there is no perceived need for storage for more, therefore mount storage is viewed as something that would offer poor return on the dev time invested into making it. Collectors are a very small minority, people who acquire a couple of mounts spread out over their gaming life don't count, and they apparently haven't considered all the people who would really like to buy and upgrade a lot more mounts but without an easy way of wrangling them, just say "nevermind, it's not worth the inventory space".
It's pretty much a self-fulfilling prophecy. "We don't sell enough mounts to justify giving you guys more reasons to buy mounts you like when you already have one."
Gotta love these ultimatum things. I imagine the devs will be crying themselves to sleep at all that lost revenue.
Anyhow, here's the thing. You have 5 active companions at a time, and there are reasons to collect others because they have different bonuses hence it makes lots of sense to have a special tab for them.
All mounts of the same rank perform the same. There is much less incentive for anyone to collect different ones. Maybe you buy three or four and collect another couple of freebies from events. You keep your favourite two in your inventory and stash the rest in your personal bank, which can be expanded with Zen purchases. It ain't exactly complicated. But, hey, good luck with the protest.

True but wrong, because we had the companion tab long before active bonuses.
Truth is, PWE needs revenue badly, so don't expect a lot of QoL changes.

Yeah, it's almost as if they planned it. ;p
Do you think those active bonuses just arrived on the spur of the moment?
Do you think there isn't already a roadmap for mod 7, mod 8 and beyond?
Regardless of the naysayers and doom-mongers, these kinds of games require a huge amount of forward planning. Details may change but most of what happens to the game in the coming months/years is already sketched out and a chunk of it will already be work in progress.
If mounts weren't so expensive to "level up" (make it 110% speed) or the ones that already are 110% speed weren't usually $40 plus then we'd buy more, I promise!
I do have my eye on a few mounts that I'd like, but I ponied up the money for an epic worg mount and I love him. His name is Kiba. I use him on everyone. Until I can store more mounts I really see no reason in buying more.

The difference between mount and companions is that companions are treated like NPCs. They have a name, gain xp, wear their own gear. Each companion becomes unique after binding but mounts stay "dumb" items. That's why a tab for companions was by design, not as QoL thing.
Since you can claim zen shop mounts with every character for free after buying them, as often as you like (even claim one, throw it away and claim it again), there is no reason for a Tab.
It could be useful for buying green or blue ones and upgrading them, because otherwise the upgrade would be lost. But it costs so much, that it's usually better to just buy purple mounts.
For non-zen shop mounts, a tab could be useful, though this would be no argument for not buying Zen mounts.
But I don't think, this will get any kind of priority, as it is (due to lack of differences between mounts except looks and coolness) not different from customization items. And we know how much love that topic gets.

Exactly this. The Zen store IS your mount tab. If you don't need a mount, just delete it. When you want to ride it again, re-claim it.
Granted, this doesn't do you any good for the non-Zen mounts, but it shouldn't stop you from buying a Zen mount. It should, theoretically, stop you from working for those "free" event mounts that just clog up your inventory.
