Reasons -RNG. + logged in this much but not that much, and spent this much but not that much. Common practice in all industries. LOL

Wow. Been playing casually regularly since Closed Beta, spent a coupla hundred on zen -- zilch.

...and where exactly was this e-mail? Inside Arc client, Inside game, or in normal internet e-mail?

Or did we have to enter a secret code to download a limited edition client e-mail application that the first 50 people redeemed?

Metrics say this email is not likely to get you to spend more.
I wasted five million AD promoting the Foundry.

something "free" is nice.... however if you are going to give a gift, EVERYONE who receives it should be able to use ALL of it. Why should someone who did not invest $75 into a DBP get a free 30slot bag as a gift, yet someone who DID spend that money be shorted that bag because they already bought it.

I agree with you. What I'm saying is this: Yes it's an oversight on their part. However, I'm not going to complain about it just because I already have one of those gifts. Doing so make me feel selfish with entitlement; "it's not fair they get more goodies than I get because I already have one of them".

The point is you are still receiving free stuff by surprise. And the Bag in that pack is a one-only, whereas the one we already have is account-reclaimable in perpetuity. I just feel we shouldn't be registering a complaint about it, that's all.

P.S. The mods must be quick as I haven't seen any "nasty' comments about it at all. I suppose Cryptic is damned if they do and damned if they don't, right?

As for who receives it (criteria): I don't have a clue. As for those who believe they should receive it: I suspect it's a rolling-delivery, meaning if you'll get one then you'll get one but it may take a day or two or three.

Nothing to do with how loyal you are. They have formula to determine how likely you are to spend.
Been here as long as you and from what you say have spent dollars to your pennies. Which informs them that I am mostly done spending. Unless they work really hard and impress me. Which does not seem to fit in with the plan. They are looking for people that play moderately, have spent some, but not a lot. Those are the people who they estimate will spend MORE.

It is way easier than making the simple changes it would take to get larger spenders to get interested again.

I don't think so. As whales go some would call me a behemoth. I actually *am* mostly done spending (even PM'd them to request new stuff in the Zen Market). I still received the gift. I suspect you and Eldarth and others will receive it, but it's on a rolling distribution and there are a LOT of players.

Ditto my thank you to Cryptic - definitely a pleasant surprise (though I'll likely not use any of it as I don;t do a lot of Dungeon Delving).

Oh, so I have to use the code when purchasing Zen? That's not really much of a free gift for the loyal. You still have to pay to get it. I don't mind supporting the game, but they haven't come out with anything impressive in a while and they don't seem to take suggestions. I'd like to see varied companions and mounts, not just iterations of the same thing over and over again. How many horses and wolves and the like are there? Boring!!!

There is no code. It's free gift.

The e-mail gives a promo code to use to redeem the gift. So yeah, there is a code.

Unfortunately on my part I didn't read the forums first :( my bad - I want to be able to use this gift on my Cleric and as I brought the DBP I shouldn't be shortchanged either. I don't see the harm in allowing more than one 30 slot bag, through things like special gifts, events etc. Sooner or later Cryptic are going to sell these in the Zen store to get more money anyway, just unlock the restriction or at least make it Account bound so I can put it onto another toon, who I wish NOT to use the DBP for. Thanks

There was a note on the ptr that says they're fixing this, so cross your fingers.

I didn't get it either, and I'm in about the same category as you length/spending wise. Closed beta, couple hundred between zen and cash packs. Ah well.
Largely inactive, playing Skyforge as Nai Calus.

I haven't gotten it either and I'd say I'm pretty loyal. Not worried though as not getting this pack is not going to affect me any. I don't worry about things that I'm not meant for, especially when they're free.

I won't lose any sleep over not getting it, but it seems a little shifty to be giving out free gifts to some players and not others based on some hidden criteria (if there is a criteria at all). Major spenders haven't all gotten it, players who spent a lot of zen on the previous zen reward event haven't all gotten it, beta players haven't all gotten it....

And now they are spending developer time fixing the bags that were in the free gift. ???

Shifty. Very shifty. I don't like it when people complain about a free gift (the gift itself), but I think players have a right to complain when others get a free gift and they didn't, when there is no information about how said gift was to be obtained.

Actualy, I say this is a caseof the e-mail bug. I have two accounts, with 2 seprate e-mail addys. My second account I created some time after the game went live. I get al sorts of emails from PWE/Cryptic on that account. But on my main account I get no e-mails from PWE/Cryptic. I was registered independantly with both PWE and Cryptic before they merged, and got regular emials from Atari/Cryptic. But after the merge of Cryptic and PWE I have not gotten a singel e-mail about PWE/Cryptic games. And yes there were whole treds on this back in Beta and right after game launch, and I have treid everything suggested, all to no avial. Even sent in tickets, and all I got back were the Robo answers of thanks for your concern, your problemis are now fixed and the ticket is closed. So I guse the question is, for those who have not gotten this e-mail and the gift, do you ever get any e-mail notifications from PWE/Cryptic?

Thats odd... I never got a promo code to use... just the e-mail and it was already available at the claims agent.

^This. Which makes me wonder why there would be separate messages (one with a code and one that doesn't require a code) - and hence different gifts (and different variety, etc.). Either way I still suspect it's a rolling distribution and (hopefully) those who haven't received one as of yet still will once the queue gets to their names.

I just found in my spam bin an email from the 19th! No code, just basically telling me thanks and to check the Reward Claim Agent. Thanks very much for this, I cannot wait for the fix on preview to hit live!

I claimed the Enthusiast's Pack and then copied over to test center.
The fix on Preview makes it so you can open the Pack and get the Dragon Hoard bag on that character in addition to the account wide one that you might already have or will get with the Dragonborn Legend pack. Claim it on the character you want the Dragon Hoard bag on, as it is Bind on Pickup to the Character, not account.

If you've deleted your Dragonborn Legend pack's bag in order to claim the Dragon Hoard bag from this Enthusiast's Pack, you'll be able to reclaim the Dragon Hoard bag from your Dragonborn Legend Pack in the Reward Claims Agent when the fix goes live.

Update: This fix is set to go live in this morning's patch!

    Here's the patch notes:
    Patch Notes NW.35.20141208a.5
    Items
Resolved an issue with claiming the bag from the Enthusiast Pack.

Here's the email that I got:
    attachment.php?attachmentid=24871&stc=1

The Neverwinter Team would like to take a moment to thank our loyal players. Without your contribution, Neverwinter would not have evolved into the game that it is today. We have more in store for the Neverwinter community, but for now we would like to show our appreciation by offering you a gift!

1x Dragon Hoard (30 slot bag), 25x Dragon Hoard Coffer and 5x Legendary Dragon Key have been delivered to your account. Login today and collect them from the Enthusiast Pack at the Reward Claims Agent in Protectors Enclave. We hope that you enjoy your gift and the upcoming holidays!

Just emptied and dropped dragon hoard bag and then opened Enthusiast pack no worries. BTW I have played since beta and have contributed a fair bit of cash to the game and have been offered the radiant stone and 1st time buyers pack also but who knows how you get " chosen" for these things......

Why on earth is this such a secret????? It is vital enough that it gets an immediate fix applied...but it still is kept a secret like there is something to hide.

    ????????
