I just discovered that the new special currencies system has put in "new" limits on the number of items. In particular, all seals have a 500 item limit cap. I know that because I had much more than that before today's patch. I purchased a drake ring from the vendor to test and now I have 460 drake seals.
Has anyone else "lost" inventory from the new caps?
Yes, I have multiple characters that lost gold cresents(1000 cap), thayan scrolls(1000 cap), and seals. And when I say I lost some, it's in the thousands. On one toon I lost over 600 shadowmantle seals because some genius decided to cap it at 500, and over 1400 gold cresents and 650 thayan scrolls.
Working as intended... unfortunately, Cryptic didn't deem it impprtant enough to get the information out there for the general public. It would certainly have been nice to see a blog explaining what the various caps are.

That really sucks. I don't mind the caps, but I wish there was some kind of notice given so I could have converted my stacks into something useful before the caps came. Now, the lost stacks = wasted time playing and collecting...something I know cryptic isn't going to give back to us.
I learned the harsh lesson long ago when PWE bought out Cryptic:
SAVE NOTHING.
They will take it arbitrarily and without notice.
It's just something that they do.
And they are not going to stop.
The "Good" news is that this implies that they are at least considering adding new, high end Purchasables with those currencies and don't want folks with large Hoards around to screw up things when they come out. They want Whales buying them with RL Money, not seals.

In all fairness though, the change was on the preview. However they left it up to the players to try and suss out what the caps are.
No. They cannot expect everybody to check changes on preview in all detail - or even read the forums. If the caps were not mentioned on the forum I wouldn't have noticed. There are players who do not even know that a preview server exists.
Also there are players which don't speak English. What are they supposed to do if such things are only mentioned on this forum? Also going to preview won't help them because they won't understand a word.
The caps on the individual currencies were left over from the old "stack limit caps" that items have. We have gone through all of the currencies and updated there caps to be much more reasonable. We took into account the amount of existing currencies individual players have on live while updating the caps.
Basically they are saying "we looked at the amount of currencies you had and ... didn't care about it anyway".
Is this a joke? My feeling is that they continously ignore their players.

Truly not fair. We just wanted them to stack higher than 100. How hard was that?
They took the inventory rearrangement and used it to their advantage. Rudeness.
They can't expect all the users to hope a beta tester posts a note on a sub-forum...
and the Search function would never have found it even if you'd started the
thread yourself.
Communication, peoples.
Did you really think anyone could steal the power of the god of thieves?
I had minimal losses (fortunately) but this still ticks me off! I have limited time to spend in-game and so mostly do what dailies I most need. After the dailies I don't have time to run Dungeons so I was saving my Crescents and Scrolls for when I could focus on MC and VT exclusively. And given the drop rates of certain items I anticipated 100 runs (or more). NOW I have less resource to spend on the keys to MC and VT.
And for the lack of communication... even those who saw this on Preview the caps weren't correct. ALL CRYTPIC/PWE HAD TO DO was announce that multiple stacks of certain currencies was a bug and 'fixed'. AND to have done this 3-4 weeks ago so players could spend these currencies before the update.
I see that Medallions of Battle retained ALL the values so it seems that only the 'easy daily stuff' was impacted. Did anyone have >1000 of anything other than Scrolls and Crescents and what happened there?

Any that I lost, I didn't care as I wasn't using them anyways like most people. A lot of us had thousands of drake seals that were practically useless anyways as there is nothing good to get from the vendor and have an abundance of rad. Better communication would have been nice, but seriously, did it really affect you that negatively with the current cap?

One potion of heroism is 15 gold crescents and sells for about 3k AD.
People have been saving drake and unicorns seals to buy items for refining fodder on the next double RP event. While this isn't the most efficient use of them if you can refine the AD from salvaging, like you, not everyone can. So it gives them a use.
People lost TRADE BARS. Those often represent actual money spent on the game.
Just because you're not upset, don't downplay the impact on others.

yeah, I was afraid of that.

Someone in one of the test threads said the "more reasonable" cap on trade bars was 10k, so I imagine anyone who did have more than that was hooped.
