I've been going to Dread Ring for about 2 months now for getting thoses Phantasmal Fortress Treasure Trove booklets and every day that i go to complete my quest that im finding nothing but them Dread Servitor's orb's , Dread Servitor's Robe's , Cloak of the Thayan Zealot , Belt of the Thayan Zealot and Orb of the Thayan Zealot where i haven't been seeing anything else so far but thoses items or you either don't get anything at all witch im finding very annoying cause all i have gotten so far was only 3 blue robes , 4 purple robes , 4 blue orbs , 4 purple orbs , 5 purple belts 6 purple cloaks where i haven't seen anything useful where they need to let you trade in your armor pieces for either pieces or does anyone feel the same way ????

They have a set drop list and a set RNG for the stuff? Other than that, I'm not sure what you're talking about?

I have a hunch OP has never actually opened the DR tab in Collections.

You can eventually get all of the purple clothing from Dread Ring daily dungeons, but RNG does apply (although much more player-friendly RNG than other areas, like IWD or ToD).

If you collect enough of the different "currency" types in Dread Ring, you can buy some of the Thyan purples from a vendor there, if you are not getting the drops you want.

...except AFAIK the three items the vendor sells (foot and arm pieces and offhands) don't actually drop from the Troves in the first place, and conversely the parts that *do* self-evidently aren't purchaseable.

Hmmm. I thought I remember getting some of those items the vendor sells as drops. . .

Yeah, the idea is you have to do ALL of the Dread Ring content to get a complete set of some of that stuff, not just the lairs.

Ctrl+J (the default shortcut for the collections window) and go to Dread Ring in the Zone Rewards section. If you hover over the item icons then it tells you everywhere you can get it. Some are in the shop only, dread spire only, phantasmal fortress only, etc.

I daresay that would have been the blue Servitor versions, which look identical appereance-wise. **** things are something of a nuisance since you can't even Salvage them.

this is the only pieces i have gotten since i dont know how rare the purple drops are why i was asking why we couldn't trade are armor pieces in so we didn't have to spend are ads on them for just a thought i had in mind

If you've upgraded all the way to adamantine gauntlets, you can get them from the arcane coffer. The loot table includes a random piece of Thayan Zealot gear, and it can be any piece. I think this reward might actually be even rarer than the artifact, it comes up so infrequently, but I've gotten gloves twice.

Edit: @OP - Mouse over each item and you can see where they drop. The purple helm is Dread Spire. Unless you're an obsessive completionist, this stuff is just junk to wear while pursuing better gear anyway. And obsessive completionists are usually unlikely to complain about the costs associated with being obsessive completionists.

Well, two of my characters have all their boons, Profound PVP gear and a huge stack of the BoP currencies and I cannot see anything left that is worth going for.

And whenever I get useless Thayan or Dread Servitor gear, it is BoP, so I cannot even trade it on the AH.

And the Dread Servitor Gear is blue, so I cannot even salvage it.

As I have Profound Gear on four characters, is there ANYTHING left in Dread Ring to get once I have all the boons? Two of them still need some Boons, so I keep going there for that, but as far as gear goes, it does not seem to be as good as the Profound PvP sets, even for playing PvE.

Also, all the Black Ice gear I have looked at, it says "Recommended" on the tool tip for my Profound Gear. So is it even worth doing Icewind Dale? I have done the quests for the special Artifacts for DCs and TRs, but is there anything else there, apart from Open World PvP?

Wouldn't trust too much in the tooltip recommendations if I were you. **** thing seems to only care about the total number of attribute points, and thinks that eg. two more points of stats trumps like twenty points of base weapon damage...
