(At least for artifacts). Let's face it - They take a ridiculously high amount of RP to refine, and it feels good as a player to be able to make some progress toward refining some of your gear. I saw that progress over this past weekend, and the reality that I will now have to go back to 1x refining values is depressing me. Rich players will have their legendary artifacts with or without the bonus, so you are looking at the more casual or less wealthy players. Those players will still have to work at leveling up their artifacts with 2x refinement, and will likely still never see legendary status.
I see little downside to leaving it as 2x rather than 1x. If the intent of this event was to take some of the excess AD out of the market, that was accomplished. Leaving it as 2x, will likely continue this trend of spending AD on refining items, albeit at a slower rate. Rich/hardcore players will still have their oranges, and the more casual players will have hope that one day they may be able to see some orange.

double refinement should be permanent, its so depressing to try and get 150k points/lvl without it, even with x2 its depressing lol
especially considering how much stuff new players will need to refine, when i started it was just enchants, now its artifacts, weapons, belts. if not for smth else just think about ppl health. refining can cause serious injury

It would definitely refining aspects of the game alot faster and better in my opinion. But seeing how this might go, it probally wont be permanent. But it would be nice if they have 2x refining every weekend or they added 2x refining as a rotating event along with dungeon delves and arena pvp events.

I agree, after this weekend it is clear that the RP value of items should be twice what they are ... but i'd happily settle for 1/month or 1/quarter event like this ... really awesome if this would be ongoing from time to time ... maybe even to happen around holidays .
Artifacts, espeically the artifact weapons are way to difficult and time consuming to refine. I spent more time refining the artifact weapon than playing the game it seems.

Disagree. What I WOULD be in favor for is DOUBLING the RP for ALL purple items.
Purple RP stones: DOUBLED

If they doubled it I still wouldn't use it. Even the purples that can only be salvaged I'd probably prefer to salvage them when I'm currently at 200k salvage overload.
I would like this to come with a more refined refining interface. The number of clicks it takes to refine artifacts, particularly with epic gear, make it an exceptionally time-consuming and frankly frustrating activity. Unfortunately, I think that might be intentional in order to "encourage" people using the Zen store to purchase blood rubies and such, but it is not an enjoyable process and as player unfriendly as the still unaddressed issue with the professions delay.

I would love to see the "Fill All Slots" button automatically put the 5 lowest value items in there. That would be a step in the right direction.
