Neverwinter Emergency Maintenance- 6/23 7:30 PM PDT (Pacific) (COMPLETED)

Hey Everyone,

We'll be performing an emergency server maintenance to fix a few issues that were found in the server. The servers will be brought down at 7:30 PM PDT. The Estimated downtime is 30 mins to 1 hour, but could be extended due to unforeseen circumstances.

Hopefully it won't take too long, but we'll keep you updated here and on our social channels.

(Update 1 7:30 PM PDT) Maintenance has begun.
(Update 2 7:48 PM PDT) Maintenance is progressing as planned. Doing some final checks, if all goes well the servers could be back very soon.
(Update 3 8:07 PM PDT) taking a bit longer than expected to run through the checks, hopefully it won't be too much longer. We'll keep you updated if we have to extend the downtime.
(Update 4 - 8:30 PM PDT) Looks like we'll have to extend maintenance by just a bit. Sorry for the inconvenience everyone. Hopefully won't be extended too long. We'll keep you posted.

    Are you fixing the Beachcombing quest? Please? That one is giving everyone fits!
    Also, the audio drops out on occation on the Proctetor's Speech skirmish. Maybe they're fixing that too.

    . . . There doesn't need to be one that we (the players) need to know about. Be relieved in knowing that maintenance is never done to cause a negative effect, therefore whatever the reason for maintenance may be, it is most likely done to improve the game in some fashion.

    good question.. I hope I get my companion back.. wrong duplicate was removed from my active slot.. please, please hoping to see it back in my inventory.. wishful thinking i know lolz...

    I have the ability to heal you. A shield to protect you. Blades to slay your foes. Magic! So I'm a tiefling, so what? We have a common enemy, and a common goal. Here, you can put ornaments on my horns if it'll put you at ease.

    So what he most likely means to say is that there was a large exploit and they are patching it, but its not their duty to tell you that :)

    There isn't a patch, so I'm assuming it's nothing game play related.

    At one point today there was some major server lags...perhaps that was part of the issue's expression.

    Maintenance is always a good thing comrads

    Any chance of giving us an extension on our invocation cycles? I've been trying to get on this morning (it's 11:05am here now) before I head off to work but that's not going to happen now (must leave in the next 15 minutes) and I won't be back until between 7:30pm and 8:00pm tonight. As my last invocation was 12pm yesterday (again, local time), I'm going to be outside the 29 hour cycle time.

    Not a big deal except that across my 9 alts, I'm going to lose anywhere from 3-6 (yes, the dreaded 6) days "work".

    I don't have any clue as there is so much screwy stuff going on. Hope they're back up soon though, there's a Black Ice Node I left my pick in, in Dwarven Valley. I hope that nice group of Dancing Trolls don't take it.

    Swordcoast gateway will allow you to extend the period between praying cycles that way you don't lose your coins.

    Oh, they're such nice boys. I'm sure they're just put it in the troll lost and found. Which also happens to be their cookpots.

    So, I only get a couple hours to play and this maintenance started right when I finally got a chance to start. . . This means I'm likely to miss an entire day of the event, 5 of the statues on my character. . . Is there going to be anything we can do or do I just sit and keep mashing the refresh button in the game to see if the game opens for me to get that done quickly before I need to sleep?

    At this point I'm caring less about the 6 days of invocation that I have on a couple of my alts as I am missing that extremely limited time resource. The invocations can restart tomorrow, missing 5 of the statues is it and keeps me from getting event items. :(

    I usually post all updates on the first page of the thread. Head to the original post and you'll find all the updates during a maintenance. As of now still hoping to have the servers back online by 8:30 PM PDT. :)

    Nice thought volsuoft except a) the gateway is unavailable as long as the game servers are down; and b) I can't access the gateway at work.

    except he usually does his now which this also effects gateway.

    It's not a case of mechanical access, it's a case of it's not allowed (I work in a high security installation).
