Wich one is Garrundar the vile? the one with the dragon and lizardfolk?
I think it's the toughest Skirmish I've played while levelling.
I'd love to see a new companion with it. I need to stack on green companions for my new char

Yep, that's the one. The companion is a Lizardfolk Shamen healer.
Neverwinter players are stubborn things....until you strip them down to bone. (Cursed players, my flowers, MINE!) Oh how I plotted their demise.
i tried this one ONCE whilst leveling my HR many months ago. skipped it on every toon since.
hoping they tone it down a bit for the CTA

Surely, surely if the PUGs are grinding it all weekend, they will learn enough about the mechanics to actually do something about the healers when they spawn? No?
I actually like this skirmish. Love-hate. Something.

I've done the skirmish many times in a PUG, and it's really not that hard. The only thing to keep in mind is the dragon will spawn healers, so you need one or two players to kill them, or else they'll just heal the dragon. My suggestion is one player to mainly attack the dragon, two to take down the healers and two to focus on the rest of the adds and the dragon as needed.
Though what I would REALLY like to see in the next CTA is a new event. Not just an old skirmish again and again and again and again and... bah, you get the point. They have the skirmish. They have enemies. So why not combine them into a NEW skirmish instead? Let us fight the dragon in a new area, or throw in some new enemies in this one. It's really not that hard. Take the Pit Fiend in the Storming the Keep, or whatever it was. Why not use one or two of those instead of the dragon? Why not have one of those AND the dragon at the same time, and remove the boring adds? Again, it's REALLY not that hard to make CTAs interesting. It takes a few minutes to clear out one skirmish and throw in a few new enemies. That's it. "Aaaww... you got bored doing the same skirmish for the 100th time? How about a CTA? That's... the same skirmish! Bwahahaha!" FFS...

I see this as the main problem with all modern games, and why I'm really into retro-games these days. "Can't do it on your first try blindfolded with both hands tied behind your back? Boohoo, game's too hard." What's wrong with an actual challenge?

It's not TOO bad when people know what to do, but many (most?) people really don't XD.
That has a simple solution you can try already tonight! Woohoo! The solution? Talk to the others and figure it out. Most likely, at least one of you will know what to do, and he/she can educate the rest. If no one knows what to do, observe the fight and see what's going on. I have yet to find a fight I couldn't solve by a quick observation. Can't hurt the boss? There's either a healer around to be killed, or a weak-spot to uncover by killing adds. It's not rocket science.
No tone down necessary. It was easy when I was at proper level and it will be a walk on a glass covered beach next week.
You completely missed the point, its not a skirmish at level <--- it's for low levels as well remember. Thats why the bridge CTA was tweaked

It's my understanding that the Battle for the Bridge skirmish has been toned down in general, removing giant adds from the end fight, and was not just for the CTA.
What I'm not sure about is if the normal version still has some extra giants or not.

Yeah, well, that's exactly what I did when I was levelling, and it's how we beat him. The first try we couldn't though because some didn't undersand english or weren't willing to read or something.

It does. CTA was version light.

Not the toughest, just most annoying. Defend the village is the most brutal one.

You know, I've never really thought about Defend the Village as being the toughest skirmish, but it probably is the one where I racked up the most character deaths (where frequently any number above 0 is a lot of dying for a skirmish).
I've never had a problem with Defend the Village though I've seen people ragequit from it. I think the problem is that it's the first one where running ahead of the party is bad and the party can quickly split up due to people running on while others are fighting or looting chests. Most of the skirmishes before that are linear and things spawn as you fight them. In DtV, when one part is finished, the party has to backtrack to the village center and then head in the new direction, making it hard for an unorganized group to stay together. You can get similar behavior in Storm Front, but the mobs aren't as tough and the terrain not so broken up.

That's the regular version of the skirmish ,not the call to arms version.
