The devs should focus on removing the poll feature from the forum... Let us first have module 3, then we know more. Before then is the question completely irrelevant.

It is nice to see a poll now and again, I just hope that if the poll indicates that we want more PVE that we actually get some more interesting content. However I'd like to say and re-urge the community pleas for at least more PVP maps in domination. I guess in an ideal world we would get a little bit of both but I prefer PVE, the PVP for the time being just isn't appealing outside of daily AD farming.
I wouldn't call the playerbase making known its preferred playing mode irrelevant, regardless of what mod 3 brings. If it was a full PvE mod, I'd still want more PvE.
If the majority of the players would actually go to the forums then you had a point.
If I had to guess I'd say next module will be mainly pve with some pvp bits and pieces then they might swap between the 2 from one module to the next so mainly pve module 4 then mainly pvp module 5 etc etc .
Why not both?
I'd love to get new pvp modes, catch the flag, king of the hill, deathmatch, etc... also new maps for domination at least if the previous can't be done.
and more PVE content is always welcome, new dungeons, raids, skirmishes, etc...

PvE. I'd like to see a boss fight a la Shadow of the Colossus.
I know I would. Since I had to choose, I chose PvE. 'cause I'm getting bored of the same 2 PvP maps and bored of meeting the same 50 people in premades.
Time to develop some glorious PvE. Don't expect this to happen though...

Module 1: Added more PVE content.
Module 2: Added more PVE content.
Module 3: Adds more PVP content.
Now, if I were working for Cryptic I'd recommend a few things:
1) Leveling is way too fast. You can get a toon to 60 in a week without much effort. This makes me have a lower value on a character because it's so easy.
2) Give incentive for running end-game PVE content. Perhaps +25 or +50 to a stat for running each Epic Dungeon 3-5 times.
3) Make Epic DDs have loot you can sell or that has value. Simply adding the chance for an Enchanted Key or a Rank 7 or 8 Enchantment during a DD would make people run Epic DDs soooo much more. Ditch the blues from DD drops.
Long story short, Cryptic has soooo much endgame content and I have zero incentive to run any of it.
PVP needs much better match making before it will even rate a mention rarely do i get a good fair fight 10 to 1 it'll be getting rammed by PVP pros
higher level caps and rewards and scaling difficulty for all levels, possibly a second play through like borderlands but everythings cranked up a notch or 2
Is there some where we can make suggestions for future mounts or companions even the possibility of mount pet sets with bonuses for the 2 or like in dragons prophet your mount can be trained and is also your companion id want the phoenix set, but i hate some of the active bonuses, should be some choice there as well to either pick companion skillset or pick a skill set then a companion to apply them to
i also Agree with various statements and comments i found in my search through the forums, about the upgrade costs being to high and companions and mounts not being sufficiently upgradable or customizable or in general even for a Free @ Play Game its a bit pricey
all character animations need some variation and should be buy once and available to your account
that and the stupid mount and companion animations, why must my wolf or similar always be angry and snarling???
re space taken up by dyes and flair items they like the currency it should have its own tab for all non essential items
I too would love an option to disable enchantment visuals. I spent a lot of time and AD getting my main armour set to look just right, and now it glows blue despite this
also need a fraken +1 or like button on comments in the forums so we dont have to type, or think, or even barely move!!
i agree with prone. i'm all for more of both PvP and PvE. i wouldn't consider module 3 to be pvp focused, it's PvE with added PvP options. mod 3 is the first pvp/pve module and as was stated yesterday in the live stream, there will be more pvp content coming. but that's not to say that neverwinter is going to become pvp heavy. a number of players consider end-game to be pvp focused and there's nothing wrong with that. i've always been a fan of game diversity. the more options there are, the better.
Considering that I've always thought pvp-minigames messing up PvE MMOs has always been a mistake? Guess.
(No, I'm not a fan of PvP. No, I'm especially not a fan of how attempts to "balance" pvp end up causing endless problems for PvE balance. Which is the main reason I care - if it weren't for that, I'd just keep avoiding the pvp portions of games. But because it's constantly affecting the parts I am interested in, it's impossible to avoid. Was incredibly annoying in WoW, for example.)

PvE. Specifically, mid-game and Foundry.
I really don't care about PvP. If people want to, fine. But don't have what happens there negatively impacting my PvE experience.
I generally don't PvP in any game. I tried it here once. My team won. Whee. Sorry, it was just boring. All combat, no story. If I want that, I have an X-Box. I'm here for D&D, and as has been stated on other threads, the core concepts of D&D are PvE in nature.
It would be really nice to have some added mid-level zones, so that when you are leveling up a character, you have more options on where you want that character to go. Honestly there are some areas that just don't do much for me, and I'd love to be able to go to a different area for quests in the same level range.
More than anything, though, I want fixes to Foundry. There needs to be a serious re-evaluation of the reward system, with something put into place to encourage people to try new quests, and to play Foundry quests in general. If they'd fix Foundry, the game has a potentially infinite amount of PvE content available to pretty much all levels, since Foundry scales with you. As it is, though, few people want to go through a 30-60 minute quest just to get a handful of common drops and a useless green.
If you don't vote, don't complain about the results.
Any player that even slightly cares about playing his class has visited this forum at least once. Just browsing through it shows you the posts we make are being read, if not always agreed with. And if you don't realize the importance of being part of that community, you can't complain things changing without hearing your side of the story.
Sorry. ignorance is no excuse, it's a choice.
You have lost me on the first sentence. I did vote and, no I was not complaining, and, yes, I do not complain because I choose not to ... What I did was to state a fact.
If you want to know how many people care about the vote then see the number of votes on the poll. Compare it to the number of players, which is in the millions. Why would you there even start to argue about it? It makes no sense.
Since you have mentioned it, most game forums have far lesser viewers (not even going to talk about posters) than there are actual players in a game. Even when everybody should come to the forums once in a while, or read the wikis do many players choose not to. It is only a pity when forum members believe they are the majority and the voice for the entire community. It just is not true. We, the forum members, may know more about the game, but it does not make us the majority.
I agree with degraafination's excellent post. "Incentive." Years ago we called it "Replayability". Very true and honest reflection I've seen and heard echoed in the community. I believe there are clear ways to fix this, for many.
And I agree with those that wish to see the Foundry get attention.
This is D&D. PvE all the way, for short and long term benefit in Neverwinter. More group content. There's enough PvP content at this point. Id just firm it up, maybe small updates in 2015/16 . 8 to 2 PvE to PvP dev time seems fair to me. Seems like the polling so far substantiates (82% favor PvE to 18% favor PvP) what I've seen echoed in the community in my experience, to pretty much the same ratio, regarding the small sample size of the poll to total playerbase.
If I cared about pvp I'd say that they should focus on another pvp map. I don't really so I think they should focus on new repeatable multiplayer content. Mod 3 will bring some nice new content that we need, however it has dailies which get old quickly and the skirmish is unrewarding and also too easy so far on the test server. HEs are something that brings an interesting new aspect to the game. However I just don't see this module having any long term effect and will suffer the same fate as the other 2 in which people will do it for boons and never look back once theyre done, maybe doing the skirmish a few times but won't farm it since you kind of can't. That leaves the same old content to farm and a game can't keep players interested if people aren't getting new content for long term interest. Campaigns are fine and all but they get stale fast. So for mod 4, if I'm still around, I'd like them to ignore wanting to make another campaign system and focus on rewarding long term content such as more dungeons worth repeating (read without low drop rates and bop stuff, it needs loot worth using and selling) and a new class would also be nice.
I play pvp almost exclusively because I think the end game pve content is horrible. So I would love to see A LOT of fundamental changes to endgame pve. Outer planes excursions, more diverse and mechanically interesting ads, more classes and races. A huge list.
For PvP maybe one map more and I'd be happy... but PvE need a lot of love... In this game there's not High End PvE content like in others MMOs...
The only 'high end' PVE content Neverwinter lacks that other MMOs have is Raids. Make a 20-man version of some of the Epic dungeons and Neverwinter would have all the standard endgame content.

Long story short, Cryptic has soooo much endgame content and I have zero incentive to run any of it.
I totally agree. An older dnd based mmo I played had two major relatively simple things that kept me interested for years:
1. Substantial end game character development.
2. Boss tags.
You would go so far in the 'prime material plane' fighting regular mortal foes and some denizens from other planes who were making excursions to this plane, and then at a point you would beat a certain boss and receive an immortal tag. That meant you beat the top boss on this plane and were now immortal- if you died on this plane you would auto-rez exactly where you died with gull hp after a few seconds. More importantly being "immortal" (having the immortal boss tag) meant that you could do quests and dungeons in other planes.
There were a series of these tags that would both unlock the next phase of content as well as allow you to use gear from those areas. You could not use gear from immortal areas if you were a mortal. You could not use gear from boss "x" drop unless you had the tag for defeating boss x. After the prime material plane the game took you into the Fey and some quasi-prime material plane areas. Once those were complete you could venture into the nine hells (each layer being its own dungeon) and the Nineth hell (Nessus) boss was Asmodeus. You would have to beat the boss of each layer and get the tag to move on to the next layer. Upon completing all nine hells and beating Asmodeus (one of the hardest bosses in the game) the gods favored such an incredibly act by rewarding the characters with "demigodhood", a +2 to all stats, and gear that could only be used by demigods. Each time you conquered the hells you would get another demigod iteration, up to demix5. Beyond/beside the hells there was also the abyss, elysium, the aboleths...a lot more. Level 80 at max and a ton of milestones to measure the progress of your character.
So "tags" which unlock further areas, additional incentives/milestones/character progress woven into a pretty solid storyline would take NWO pretty far imo.
thats why I am here for PVE ,so more of this
and its DD for me the PVP aint that important at all
and in DD you group up and fight the badies not with each other
They can delete the PVP and just make DUEL thats more DD
The only 'high end' PVE content Neverwinter lacks that other MMOs have is Raids. Make a 20-man version of some of the Epic dungeons and Neverwinter would have all the standard endgame content.
Where's that high end content?, I've played so little this game (like 2-3 months?) and yet I've done almost all the PvE content there is (since a lot)... Idk if it's the common among the new MMOs, but in the 2 main I've played (Tibia and Ragnarok) there were real high end content that could keep you pushing more and more to get equip, to get lvl, etc... in those games would be immposible to do all the PvE content (not even the half) in so little time, also, the lvl is way up too fast, etc... I'm HR and with a DC I can tank/dodge bosses, what is that?, here the PvE is so easy... Idk, I would do a major rework here, and yea, like you say, there would be nice to have some raids or some random minibosses/bosses in some maps, etc... but challenging things...

I find it rather refreshing and awesome that one can get to level 60 this fast. As a result is everyone focused on the gear score and one's level is of no concern. One is either level 60, or one is not. The fact that one can level up this fast makes it much less of a grind and turns levelling into lengthy tutorial. To me is it the best tutorial I have ever seen in a game, with lots of missions and many place to go to and to see. Once a player has reached level 60 is he or she sufficient enough with the combat system to join the mass of the existing level 60 players. This is how it should be, and nobody should ever feel being stuck at a lower level.

Even though PVP class balance in this game is a joke, I don't think they should delete PVP because PVP in itself is pretty good on its own.
I would really love a new dungeon that doesn't have the bind-on-pickup loot HAMSTER that makes the dungeon not worth farming past 2-3 weeks.
