All of the angels in the 4th edition monster manual lack legs and mouths. Though they do have more of an aura below their waist instead of just floating there.

4th edition version of Angel of Protection

Ah I see. Just another example of how 4th edition is inferior to 3rd and earlier editions.

Anyways. the price has dropped heaps with no one buying atm.

I am not worried as the new content has open PVP and since you will be with a Companion I am sure it will come up again when the benefit is seen to having 1.

Yep, some sellers just ruin the value. All they care about is that their item sells so discounts by a reasonably wide margin and of course someone else thinks the same way and the value is much lower all because of this cycle.

Is she worth using? How often does the angel's touch 6% HP heal occur? Because even the 2 gold cleric heals for 20% HP..

2.5 second cooldown on the heal. On the flipside the cooldown on the cleric disiciple's healing word is 30 seconds.

The biggest question for me is, "Does the angel Aggro mobs?"

You say that like it's a bad thing. As a seller of course all I care about is if my item sells. I'm not sure what makes everyone elses high price on an item the ONE TRUE VALUE. The value is however much I can get for an item. That's the way the market works.

On Monday, I will be able to receive 5 Angels. There are probably thousands more that will get them starting next week.

Expect the price of these to drop to 5 digits.

Yes, it can draw aggro. Same with all companions who heal.

    Grats on the 5.

I do not see the price dropping to 5 Digits though - it is a lot of time and the benefits seem pretty good compared to other Companions!!

It should, it's pretty lousy as far as companions go. While it IS darned shiny, it's not very impressive looking, the voice is horrible for an archon, the ability effects are also unimpressive (though I do like the wings that appear around my character when it deflects 50% damage), and I'd rank it only just above the free cleric as far as healing companions go, which are all lousy.

Fawn is the still king of healing companions, for grouping (get a stone/cat instead if you can) or solo for ranged characters.

MAYBE the angel will be a good summoned companion for highly defensive characters in the open world pvp when mod 3 happens. But still, hardly worth millions of AD or the 360 times invoke 20 hour cd. In the end all it gets you another rank 30 companion for doing SCA.
    Don't Panic.

You're not paying for it's effectiveness, you're paying for that status symbol of owning a pet that takes 1 year to get. If you wanted something cost effective you'd get the common cleric or a lillend. People pay a lot for status things. Would it really be worth actually getting for coins if you had them for much less than 5 million? Probably not, I'd rather save my coins and hope for a new addition to the shop. I'm kind of surprised it's gone to 5m already. I guess since people want a quick sale?

I pulled my Angel when I realised it was not going to sell for the 4.9 mil it was priced at and put it at 3.9 luckily it sold because I accidently put the bid at 300k and when I realised it was to late to withdraw it. So thanks to whoever bought it. Now they are 2.2 and dropping. The reason I put it at 3.9 was to sell it before the rush hit and lucky I did. None of the other Angels higher then me sold at all.

My second 1 is in 2 days and this 1 I will keep:)

I really really think you should sell it.....and then buy a cheaper one for half the cost 2 weeks later

Depends, when mod 3 comes there may be more demand to buy them so it's hard to estimate the price. Personally I think it's pretty cheap to sell 1 years worth of work for 2m, but if you plan on getting 1 anyway, I guess it doesn't hurt to try and play the market a little. You have to get yours to sell which everyone atm will keep trying to do so you risk getting undercut.

Soloing Icewind has cost me a lot of heal pots. This is where the Angel will be in demand. The current price of the Angel has been cut in half in a few days. Luckily I manged to sell one but keep getting undercut to sell the second.

The Angel is an excellent healer and the wards come in handy. :D

I'd guess it'll be useful in Icewind dale open pvp when players soulforge rez , that leaves them very vulnerable and this buff will give them enough time to get away or heal up , the active bonus is 'on Resurrection you are shielded for 10% of your total hit points' .

Which means you get 10% of your total HP as temp HP.

Azrael, one of the GMs in Greycloaks, got his yesterday. It's pretty then I remember it from pre-beta, has a gold sheen I don't recall it having back then. Still no mouth though, which I always found sort of creepy. I'm still a few weeks away from getting it myself.
