Well, first of all I never stated that everyone you fight is bad. Just to get that out of the way.
However, a good GWF (which I consider to be one who doesn't blow their Frontline at the first chance they get on your ITC or a dodge or a DF, takes the time to avoid DF, etc. An example would be a GWF from Chocolate Shoppe or Enemy Team) will always beat a TR in a toe-to-toe fight, hands down. Their class is simply better equipped for it. The combat TR has its place in games, but 1v1ing a top-end GWF... it's really not likely. I, too, can dodge just about all of their abilities even as a stealth TR, but if they catch me once it's going to hurt.
That's not to say you can't beat some GWFs that way, but I tend to fight other high end PvP guilds and there's a reason none of the top-end TRs run a combat spec... it just isn't viable to 1v1 a good GWF with, as TRs in premade vs premade games often end up doing. It is, however, quite good at playing a roaming DPS setup, where you support other nodes while someone else holds them.
Oh I love fighting GWFs 1v1 without stealth its so much more fun and rewarding when you spank them at the end of it.
And fortunately for me, 90% of GWFs that I meet in PVP expend all 3 encounters at the 1st 2-3 seconds of the fight, its just habitual for a lot of them I think, its very easy to counter-attack in this time.
I analyse ppl patterns in pvp which is why its not hard for me to beat them in 1v1.
I don't really agree with the whole stealth = only defense. You can easily get deflect up to close to 50% and with deflect severity at 75% that's a really nice defense. Now with tenacity you can build a tr that can survive outside of stealth, that still has nasty spike damage from feats and vorpal. You may not be able to alpha strike down a perma in one encounter rotation but you can on plenty of other targets.
Potb and fey thistle though is a really nice combo to combat perma's, like other's have stated. It usually makes them come to you instead of the other way around.
Thank you, at least some-one agrees with me stealth is not the " Be all and End All " of the Trickster Rogue man.
People forget that TR is the only class with such high deflect severity plus added deflect from both our Ability score rolls and Feats.
Deflect, in conjunction with tenacity can be a really devastating combination.
A few days ago a fairly geared GWF did 500 damage Indomitable battle strike to me through deflect, his strongest encounter reduced to absolutely nothing.
Please don't underestimate the possibilities TR can do without stealth, if get skilled without using stealth all the **** time think about how much havoc you will cause when you do use it.
the problem with that is that it's only viable for high geared players, what about the rest?
many of us will never get greater/perfect vorpals, r8-9s. Stealth works as a defense for every TR.
I will admit the match-making system is still flawed, it cant be helped if your 10k GS and come up against 16k GS in pvp.

You can get deflect high with only rank 7's. With the new pvp gear you can do it with only 1 or 2 silveries.
I understand your frustration on high end gear, but it's going to be challenging to kill any geared player without equal gear of your own especially with stealth as your defense.

I decided to buff up my deflect even more and go with all silver 7s in defence slots + tenacity/deflect pvp Necklace and belt and got my deflect up to 42% chance, went into a few pvp games and I think I've found the build perfect for me... With such high deflect chance, ITC and Fey Thistle boon stacked with P.Bilethorn from flurry I was killing ppl without even attacking them LOL.
Matter of fact, they were killing themselves for attacking me.
I was taking on 3 ppl at once, a GWF, GF and a TR with no problems at all, both my regen and lifesteal allowed me to stay alive whilst taking minor damage from deflect and reflecting it back to them. Im sure with a P.Barkshield I'd be an extremely tanky rogue hard to get off a node without tons of control effects.
I'm glad it's working out for you, but you won't normally be able to tank 3 geared players for any extended period of time, especially ones that can control the fight like gwf's and gf's. To really make a deflect build work you need to get your deflect to around 2k with only using 1 or 2 enchants. Use the rest of your defensive enchants for Health. A lot of defensive options out there now with the new pvp gear, it's a grind but it should really pay off in the end.
So guys, what will be better for hybrid build? Vorpal Or Bile?
I keep a spare Ancient Dagger in my bag slotted with a Perfect Bilethorn for rainy days. Primarily I use Perfect Vorpal because PoB is usually enough to unstealth a TR and gotta get rid of those nasty control freak wizards right? There are five other classes in the game I have to think of. When faced with an equally geared and skilled TR on a node, all alone with no hope for backup, that's normally my cue to pull out the poisoned dagger.
PS: Go with a normal/greater vorpal and lesser bile if you're scarce of AD.
My experience as playing two "normal" TRs, a GF and a GWF is since many months, that perma will win, witnessed it many times on teammates, that's why many people change their stats or roll a new char, because as a "normal" TR you can't compete against permas.
And the one who says, permas have lower damage output says only half the truth, damage over time is far more annoying to other class players and survivability is on top, they can solo many dungeons.
I think we will see the complete diminishing of combat TRs sooner or later. The Devs should have stopped this sooner, now so many people play perma, that i fear, they won't take any action, they fear losing customers.
Sadly permas ruin the fun for the other half of players in PVP.

After reading your post yesterday and checking out Rustlord's pvp/pve combat-reflect build guide:
