Need some direction.....End Game GF Tank build

Hello all,
Ill try to keep this as short as possible. I need some help... and after reading through the class forums for a few days and I'm still not any closer to making a decision on a final build.
I new to NW, i just hit 60 last night on my GF. I've been an MMO player for many years and I simply just love to tank. Ive always been able to climb my way up to being a respected & competent tank for whichever group/guild I've been a part of in any given game I've played. On the flip side, ive never been much of a theory crafter and truthfully, i'm not very good and coming up with my own builds. At the same time i don't like being behind the curve on my build. I take comfort in knowing that someone put a lot of time and energy into crafting a really good build for me to use. I'm sure some of you can understand. That being said, i don't mind copying and pasting a cookie cutter build.
Of course ive been reading all these threads about the GF not being viable/wanted/needed in groups at end game. I've also found a positive thread or comment here and there as well so I've decided to not let this discourage me or keep me from enjoying the GF.
For leveling I specd into conq hybrid for a little more dps but for end game I would like to see a no-sacrifices pure tank build. A tank's tank if you will. I assume this means going full protector. Naturally I would be fine with a little extra dps but only if it doesn't diminish my defensive abilities. My problem is, I'm finding a lot of builds but I'm not confident they are up to date after the recent changes.
Any comments/suggestion/build links would be greatly appreciated. Also a question about the free respect that I have. Do i get to redo everything? Like can a choose Iron Vanguard / Blademaster (or whatever its called) again? Reroll attributes?

I run a sort of hybrid conqueror myself and can only offer my opinion on a more tanky build. The softcap on def is not that high and even as conquerors we reach it easily. Certainly you can stack regen, deflect, and hps to make you more tanky as well but I would wonder about how well aggro can be kept just using certain feats and powers without doing much damage. While this type of build may work, I think it would be more successful running with a familiar party rather in PUGs.

Some of them are outdated but may provide enough information to help you out.
Don't go full protector !
You should stop on that way when you will got the -10% blocking sévérity, then you could take a look at tactician way (really better thing here)
Also, just stack regen, hp, recovery, def.
Life steal could be Also great If you are able to reach around 1000 on this carac.
About parangon, iron vanguard will give you an easy way for your first epic donjons, but weapon master is a bit more efficient, at cost of more difficult to play
Some people operate under the mistaken belief that you get a free respec at level 60. This is incorrect.
Cryptic have handed out free respecs to all characters that existed prior to major class revisions a couple of times, and it's not unreasonable to hope there'll be one with module 3 (though if the only major change is for rangers getting their second paragon, and there's a way to isolate the freebie to only HRs, then maybe not).

Conq is nice and very fun to play - but lacks DPS of GWF (I do love the playstyle though).
Protector seems like a good playstyle for those who love it, but endgame parties really don't need it.
