Where can you find a Mark of Power?

I need a Mark of Power to upgrade my artifact but there is no way to find any. I have got already the 2 Lesser Mark of Power necessary. The Mark of Potency I dont have but at least I can buy it at the Wondrous Bazaar for 25k AD, (that btw is a lot for me as new player). I have checked the Auction but without result (all lesser and great). So what's the point of introducing an artifact if you cant upgrade it?
Is there any strange way to find this rare Mark of Power (why is that rare??) I read that even in the epic dungeons are impossible to find.

Any skill node (the thievery, arcane, nature, dungeoneering, religion items scattered across the zones) or epic dungeon boss.

Mark of Power drop from the campaign dungeon chests occasionally. Otherwise there used to be some in the AH.

I just checked the AH and there are over 300 listed (price for one starting at 9k). When searching you may want to use the Advanced filters and set it to only show rare (blue) items to filter out the lesser and greater ones.

I suppose they are very rare because there isn't any at the AH. I hope I get lucky soon. Do you guys find often Marks of Power?

If you don't filter out the green and purple ones, you will not see any listed(I just verified this) so make sure you limit the search to just rare items (large number of the lesser ones).

Also from arcane coffers in the dread ring.

the blue marks are STUPID rare. this was brought up the FIRST day of the x-pak but fallen on deaf ears it seems.

the purple marks are 1000x more plentiful, they go for 4-5k on the AH. the blue ones ??? 100k or more last time I looked. IMO don't bother upgrading past rank 6 or 7. or if new player rank 5.

You better look again, they're under 10k in many cases now. Stability's are under 3k.

This is two completely different discussions at this point, since rank 5/6/7 refers to enchantments and marks of power/union/stability are for artifacts.

The cost of blue marks for artifacts have stabilized nicely. This is because the actual need for them is quite limited. You only require a couple of them over the life of your artifacts, of which you will probably have a maximum of three unless you're really mad for collecting them and swapping them out.

The cost of marks of potency has not come down because they are exceedingly rare as drops and because you need a boatload of them for upgrading all your enchantments across many slots, plus you still need them to upgrade your artifact. You can buy them from the Wondrous Bazaar, which is often cheaper than the extortionate prices players try to flog them for on the AH, or you can stalk the AH looking for deals from players who are undercutting the WB... but they're not cheap at all. Not the blue and purple ones anyway.

Prices are constantly going down, and will probably stabilize around the 2-3AD per refining point like most other stuff (i don't remember how much they provide, 1k RP?).

Still, i can't understand where does the massive stashes (several 99 stacks) come from... in a night of farming i can barely get one, maybe two, but I see single sellers putting 2-300 blue marks almost daily. :/

The "artifact" box you get out of the Rusty Iron lock box supposedly drops (heard this multiple times on these forums) a respectable number of blue marks so anyone opening alot of boxes is going to get alot of marks.

Edit: they could also be buying and re-posting the marks for higher values.

Basically, the names you see posting tons of blue marks will match up to the names you see on the admin messages (playername has acquired a rust monster).

They sell all that stuff to fund buying more keys. I'm sure the marks are a great gold (I mean AD) mine in that regard because they're a high-demand consumable.

Really? The tooltip doesn't even mention blue marks (or any kind of marks), just refining stones...

Marks are an item within the category "refining stones". Look at their tooltip.

Edit: Incidentally, it's the Iron Strongbox of Enchantments that can drop the purple mark of potency, not the artifact pack.

bots. go stand by the entrance to Arcane reservoir some time and watch all the wizards (the 1st node there is arcane) with names like IIiiIilliIILLIx0203 going in and out 100x a minute.
