I think it's a really good idea to limit how often you can swap out players. Maybe 1 every 2 weeks? I'm also completely for not making it guild vs guild only. There are plenty of decent PVP players who aren't in a guild. This can also allow guilds to scout out those who aren't in a guild and maybe connect with them.

On a separate note, I really hope that you'll look at different 'themes' for the ladders. Maybe a 'no enchant' ladder, t1 gear only, t2 gear only, so on. I love the rainbow team idea. I'd also like to see a 'stack what you will' set, just to see what people would do if they could maximize what they consider the goto thing for stacking in a match.

YES! This is something I personally am really looking forward to implementing! It's very simple to create as many ladders as we want and a single member can be a member of as many teams as they want (though cannot be on multiple teams on the same ladder of course).

A stripped down gear ladder will defiantly be something the site will be launched with, and a "whatever comp you want" is something we have thought about as well (though I think we may have to make gear rules for this too, no one wants to fight 5 rank 10 GWF's =P)

We will also be running tourneys every now and so would love to hear more ideas on these lines.

    Thanks for posting!

I'm glad to help. I'm looking forward to the results as I know I'll be entering all my 60s into the game. :)

That said, why not have a completely 100% open ended set up? Let those who gain all that gear strut their stuff against others who do the same. if they want 5 GWFs with rank10s in everything, go for it. There's a counter to the GWF anyways. I say let them push that edge. It'll be the ultimate test of 'how strong is this' and how to stop it.. maybe dissapate some of the QQ it's a gwf-dom out there.

    .. but that's just me. :)

So I was thinking after my last post...

I think that we should also have tournaments where the position is selected based on your position in the ladder. I think that no matter what happens with the ladder, people are going to want to see a good, old fashioned tourney to really decide who is currently the best :)
