The act of leveling to 60 is rather quick. I've been playing on and off for about 5 days, and am already level 48, so if you're playing for longer sessions, it'll take even less time...

You'll level the fastest doing official content quests.

Technically, I think you'd level fastest if you queued for PvP while questing and combined the two. I remember it seeming like low-level PvP caused a level-up after pretty much every match.

But really, levelling is so fast that you can basically do what you want. If you like PvP, do it. If you hate it, don't. There is no trick to levelling quickly. It just happens by playing.

I feel doing PVP is great if your a dps class and rack up some points. My tr leveled quite fast that way. However I don't think anything really beats just the quests. I did my GWF in like three days but I put a ton of time in those three days and just fast tracked quests. I didn't do any skirmish or dungeons because I feel that slows you down while leveling. My two longest classes were the DC and GF. The GF is so painfully slow compared to the other classes as well as the DC.

That was the case a long time ago. These days, if you do not guarantee a win, PvP is significantly slower than questing, especially at low levels before you get a mount.

If you are on a strong dps class like TR or HR or good post-Threatening Rush GF (level 35+), then you can influence a match enough to bias wins to outlevel questing. But otherwise, I would not recommend it at all for fastest levelling.

    The fastest way, imo, is
    + normal quest chains
+ Invoke every hour (only the first two or three give XP, but just Invoke anyway for the buffs)
+ change Zone as soon as you hit the minimum for the next zone. You can find the Zone minimums from the Wiki: http://neverwinter.gamepedia.com/Adventure_zone
+ any high level XP boosters you can get hold of (they can make a significant difference), e.g. XP Booster Packs or 3x Azures Enchantment, Rank 6+ [assuming stacking them still works]
+ 150% Foundry XP during Foundry hour, if you can find a quick rich XP one and you are a dps class
+ Wayward Wizard companion. Believe me when I tell you, you want this companion on ANY class below level 15 and often up as high as level 30. He has 360-degree aoe, whereas you probably do not at low levels, and his will hit like 5x harder than all of your dps! His health, like all low level pets below 15 will be up to a magnitude higher than yours, hence making them also great tanks.
+ above level 15, augment companions become more and more efficient, but other combat pets, e.g. Cleric and Man-At-Arms, can be useful to very useful depending on class.

    Other tips:
    - if this is your first character, make sure you do each unique Skirmish at least once! It will be very difficult to get the achievements for it at a later date because once you outlevel each Skirmish you can never go back to them. Only during infrequent CTA events does a version of the same Skirmish appear. But given there are many Skirmishes, it could take you years to see all of them...
    - do not do any dungeons at all if your intention is to level as fast as possible. Yes, its unfortunate, but that's how it is and at least you can go back to them.

Not quite sure this is always true - I find running short (15 minute+) foundries during Foundry Hour to give good XP also and they are very easy for lower level (below 30) characters. You can easily get 5 in that time.

Outside that I remember that when I last did PvP that seemed to give good XP, but it was a while back.

The first skirmish is very fast and lots of mobs means decent XP, but after that I don't think it is optimal. Dungeons should be avoided at all costs if you want to level fast.

^^good point about the fast mount. That is a game changer while levelling. Literally. Prevents mobs from even noticing you are there quite often. I also took it for granted since I have a Zen mount which are all Account bound and usable on any character on that account.

Tarmalune trade bars come from opening up the various lockboxes. Currently it's the 'rusted iron lockbox'.

They require a key from the C-Store to open.

You may find keys on the AH as well, or people in trade chat may offer keys in exchange for certain hard-to-get things.
