Also do to certain changes, GWFs and DCs will have a forced respec.

I know free respecs do not stack. But what about the force respec and free ones? Meaning, I have a free respec now on my DC, so will the free respec still be there after they forced respec my DC?

The forced respec is only for feats. When you log in on Preview, or on Live after the module launches, your entire feat page will be reset. Make sure to write down what feats you currently have so you can duplicate your current spec as much as possible. You'll have the option to use the free full respec whenever you want. It's a token, the other is just that your feats get reset.

Okay. As long as everyone is sure.... :-/

I bought a respec a month ago in anticipation of switching to a new path.
(There was a sale.) Haven't used it. Bit worried that if I don't (needlessly)
use it ASAP that the game won't carry 2 respecs with the free one added.

Can we get a Mod to confirm this, please? tyvm

The only thing a mod is going to do is close this thread for the necro post.

However, paid for tokens are kept separately from free ones. The free ones wont stack but will have no effect on any paid for tokens you might also have. You even have the option over what token to use first (free or paid for) when you use it.

Thanks!! That's cool that they let you pick.

Sorry about the necro. I'm not good at searching threads, and didn't
want to spam the board. ...and obviously a bit nervous about wasting what
    little money I have. :)

    thanks

Free respec tokens granted due to major changes within the in-game mechanics do not stack.

If you do not use the free respec token you received with Fury of the Feywild you will still only have one free respec token after Shadowmantle is released.

Best to take advantage of the ones you already have before the release of Shadowmantle! :)

Are you sure about that? A guildmate of mine claims to have 1 free after having used 1. I've been saving mine up o.o

Yes, he is correct. That is why the free respec says "Yes" if you have one or "No" if you don't while the bought one lists the number you have. Maybe he is confusing the one he got with the Guardian or Hero of the North pack with the free ones that have been given out previously.

Ok thanks for the clarification. I guess I'll respec then ^_^

. . . . . . Purchased Respec Tokens and Free Respec Tokens are two separate character unlocks. The two different tokens do not stack together but you can have one of each at a time. When clicking the Respec button on the POWERS (not Feats) page, you will have an option to use your free respec or your purchased respec, if you have both. You can only have one free respec token at a time but you may have multiple purchased tokens on a character. Keep in mind, the Respec Token in the Zen shop is a Character Unlock, so buy them on the character you want.

    Hi,

There will be a new Paragon Paths for existing classes on 5 Dec 2013, so will it be a Free Respec for all Char like last time? As I still have 1 Free Respec never use & wanted to Respec my current Char. So if I don't use it, it won't stack up the additional Respec right?

    Tks :)

Free respecs do not stack, only bought one stack so if you still have a free respec from the previous times you might want to consider using it before the patch.

The most optimal approach might be to use your free token just before logging out the evening before the patch drops. Then when it does, you'll likely have a blank spec to fill in, and a token left to spend in the future.

    Maybe..

From his phrasing, the guildmate could also have used his first one before he received the second one. You can't hold two, but having been issued one before won't prevent you from getting another, provided you use it.

I need to go through and do all mine. Gonna be time-consuming.

Will Lvl 4 characters made a few days before module 2 also get 1? Always nice to have one in case you mess up...

. . . . . Yes, any characters created before Free Respec Token is distributed will get one. Characters created after such a distribution of Free Respec Tokens will not get a free one until Free Respec Tokens are granted again.
