Oh god it's you. Formerly in Prototype? I've died to you so many times. GG.

Yeah I left Prototype a couple weeks before the merger. Hello :)

It's gear... and tactics. LS has some amazing tactics, but their gear gives them the freedom to use those tactics. Their Tenebrous TR burned through everyone who tried to contest her at our point today, even our tanky-regen GF, in a matter of seconds. That gave them the freedom to always have one of us down, or always have two focusing her, essentially playing as if we had four or they had six, if that makes sense. This made for the rest of our team consistently fighting 1v2 or 2v3. I've fought plenty of SS, ITC, PoB TRs, but the Tenebrous was too much. I went from 100% to 10% health in two seconds one time. There's no defense against that.

Here are a few great things that I saw:

    1. I was very impressed that I didn't see any armor swapping (as if they needed any more advantage). I've fought against some clearly OP teams who were not only schooling us, but continued to armor swap. I'm very glad I didn't see any exploiting.

    2. They did a good job of continuing to pour people back to our point when one of them died. I'm fairly certain all five team members eventually made their way to back cap when the person back-capping fell.

    3. No smack-talking, at all, and some good zones in game and tells afterward.

All in all, I was very impressed with their guild, but recognized some clear advantages they had.

Kitty, I have nothing against your guild. And just a few posts up from what you wrote, I said this.

In regard to the possible match, perhaps go to the test shard with Enemy Team and unslot all your Tennys...? *shrug*

From here on out, I won't post anything in relation to Lemonade Stand. Keep up the great gaming, Trace.

Is this going to happen tonight? We were planning on signing up when this first came out but I think it dropped off the first page and I totally forgot about it =/

Here is an idea. Since the tene is not overpowered as stated by many of the host guild. Have the tournament and allow tene's for the other teams but not your guild. This would be the best way to prove your point. I know many interested individuals.

its a good suggestion, i thought of that a week ago aswell (no tene PTR open challenge), question is why no one suggested it when I arranged 3 separate events back in the day, and my best answer would be that they wanted to feel whats it like having a slotted tene.

Not that i think it would change the outcome but it would have been nice to have as a point reference for all these arguments.

Everyone did have the same gear, so I will give LS that. The only advantage is that LS was used to playing with that kind of gear and built their characters around them.

First its cause we have better gear, now its cause we're more use to playing with that gear? The excuses are never ending...

huge part of any mmorpg. cant beat you? it is because gear.
they have the same gear? is because you use the gear more time.

and then when there is nothing more to argue, there are some that will call you cheater or hacker.

people never give the merits, and as I said many posts back, this is why people don't get better.
because they blame this, blame that, accuse this, accuse that. but try to improve no one wants to. that is too much work to do for some people, it is easier create many excuses.

have seen these tons of times in mmorpg life, it never changes. eventually some players decide to come along, and work with what they have, they really do get better than the others that keep whining about everything.
    "fikdik"

nerf tenes or not, LS and Enemy Team will always be PvP potences. can talk, can complain, can give excuses, can accuse, whatever. nothing will change. unless people stop do these and try work hard and develop instead wasting effort criticizing and stealing the merits of the victory of these guilds.

tenes can be fought against, and the nerf of it will only make a lot people who spent money on these very upset.
personally, the last g tene i bought in beholder for my cord of bloodlust was for 5m. so it is a big loss. but no problem, this wont make me get bad or useless on pvp, my char can still kick *** of others players.
tried different build, and still was able to beat one gwf with tenes and tanking build very fast... im not worried at all. people think we as pvp good teams we are scared or we will do mediocre when tenes are nerfed. sorry guys, this isnt going to happen.

This is a llame idea having a guild known for their 'exploitative' ways host a PVP Tournament (which they obviously will buy or cheat to win).

Unless this is sanctioned by Cryptic with legitimate PVP rules, gear checks built in, enchants disabled, players level set in the match before hand this should not be allowed. This is another example of 'whos sword is bigger' contest.

Until there are balance checks in PVP like every MMO out there where you are NOT able to use certain enchants (or they are void in PVP) this is not worth anyone's time or money.

Players making Foundry missions is one thing but trying to control PVP is another. Players in Neverwinter are using 3rd party software and other modifications which go against the DMCA and need to be regulated.

Seeing the LS videos online even show how they 'modify' things to gain advantage.

It must be said and known but the game needs balance in PVP if it is to move forward. If not, then whats the point of having PVP.

    1. It's nice to see some guild taking initiative to set up a tournament
    2. Any guild caught cheating in a tournament will be in a world of hurt. It's self-moderating.
    3. No one is controlling PVP. Tournaments are a voluntary option to make PVP more fun for some
    4. PVP in this game includes a 'whose sword is bigger' element. Don't like it? Play, earn AD, gear up, quit whining
    5. Most complaints regarding LS come from the early days. I've early heard good things about them more recently

. . . . . Contests and Events may not have any sort of cost associated with them to be allowed on our forums. They must be wholly free and open to the public. On that, the fact the event date has since passed, and that there is just so much trolling going on here, this thread is closed.
