Which is better?

Why?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    I don't understand the question.

Does shift move you differently than dodging by double-tapping a movement key?

That's the question realy. Is there any difference between the rogue shift skill and the standard player dodge skill.

Well, theres definatly a difference in the distance you move, other than that you could only measure the time it takes you.

there is a difference? I thought it was the same thing, just a different command for it. I turned my double tap off, because I often dodged when I didn't want too.

The Difference is minor by my estimation but it is there. For example the Shift from the DC is shorter than from the CW or the TR.

Oh, I thought yal were speaking about tr only. Hitting shift key to dodge rather than double tapping a directional key.

Nope, the TR's have a "Shift" ability, I can hit Shift +wasd to move 8 feet in a particular direction, it seems to burn stamina just like dodge does though so I am curious what their different uses might be or why someone would use one over the other.

Shift = double tapping = dodge on TR. There is no difference - they all mean the same thing.

All player dodging skills across the classes grant CC immunity during and just after the dodge.

    This.

Dodge is done by hitting Shift, unless you assign a different hotkey (which I normally do).
