Boar and Pig BoP

I noticed the Weapons, Companion and Fashion gear are BoE but the two mounts are BoP. Can we get these changed to BoE. With so few classes at the moment players may have future character in need of these unique Mounts such as a Halfing Ranger on a Pig =)

    I'm fine with them being like this. it's supposed to be annual, so the event will come around again next year, so there should be other opportunities.

    Pretty soon everything of any interest will be BoP and I'll stop playing. Oh well. It's not like I haven't had my times worth in this game, even with money spent.... :)

    I agree that I am not in favor of this implementation, either. I already have an account-wide T3 mount, but perhaps would use the pig mount on an alt that would fit having a pig mount. The only problem is, I do not have such an alt currently...

    Potbellies are cleaner (if not locked up in a pig pen) and smarter than dogs actually ... The minis cost a lot of money (500+) and are considered great pets. For a mini though they get some size. Large dog size. I wnt one IRL!

    Lots o' creatures like to take dust baths and roll around in dirt to cool off or take a bath - including cats and dogs sometimes (tho the latter don't usually pick mud, heh). Pigs aren't much dirtier than most animals in that respect, unless forced into living in "pig pens" as mentioned above. And bacon is awesome.

    I agree, I don't really need the boar or pig mount since they are slowest available. Being BoP, imo, makes them mostly worthless as they just take up inv space if you already have anything faster.

    This is as it should be. If you want the pig on an alt, use the alt to earn it.

    The complaint is that the desired alt is impossible to make at this time because the class is unavailable.

    Note that the OP doesn't have an issue with the BoP provided there will be future opportunities to earn the same mount.

    I'll start playing again and will eventually spend some cash on the game if they fix everything that is broken atm , which is never going to happen lol .

    I thought you get tokens once per day... how is it that some people already have this mount??

    You can spend Trade Bars to get extra tokens of "Sune's Favor" or whatever they are called. So people that have opened a lot of lockboxes have the trade bars to spend.

    I'd be fine with BoP if the mounts weren't essentially worthless without spending 2.8mil + 15 day grind.

    The price is utterly ridiculous for something most will only use less on rare occasion for a laugh.

    Needed improvements:
    - Mount upgrades tomes are permanent account wide unlocks. Cost can remain high, but it applies to all mounts you own, now and forever. Maybe convert it to a zen purchase instead of AD. Could increase the top tier upgrade speed to 120% (so purple mounts remain fast, but players with them are still encouraged to get the upgrades for a minor +10% boon).
    - Events/zen/achievement/special mounts are account wide. Only the basic gold ones and lockbox mounts will remain per character.
    -Group tools in dire need of improvement, please read and reply to improve our community.
    -Epic Dread Vault Crushed.
    Characters (Dragon): Axer (60 Guardian, Leader of Crush It!), Controller (60 Wizard), Warlocker (60 Warlock)

    Rift's shop sells special mounts that matches the speed of the fastest mount owned by a player. Special mounts in Neverwinter, like event ones, could have this ability.

    why are people always explaining that they can't obtain certain items? it is a seasonal event. participate in it if you want to earn stuff, or leave it. it is perfectly fine that not everything can be bought in the auction house. give players that play the game a chance to earn stuff by doing specific quests and leave those who sit on millions of ad without the items if they don't participate actively but just want to buy the stuff cheaply.

    You can always join me in World of Warcraft where "most" of the top gear in that game is Bop with some decent Boe drops. Bind on pickup (Bop) is not limited to Neverwinter, those type of loot rules are used in a lot of games.

    The problem with Neverwinter's loot rules is players became accustomed to everything being Bind on equip (boe) which did nothing more than flood the market with gear.

    Now Cryptic is taking action to change that by reverting the way the loot rules worked from most things being Boe to now being Bop and it will take time for players to adjust. It is definitely an adjustment from having access to most gear to now having tighter restrictions.

    chronos, but what incentive do people have to do t2 dungeons if they already have their armor? The recent patch just killed off over 50% of the game content for lvl 60's that already have their armor.

    There is always the (small) chance of getting a BoE boss drop that will sell for an absurdly high amount of AD, and if you run with a decent group of guild mates, you can probably decide to sell it and split the profit.
    Hoping for improvements...

    Personally, I'm surprised at how much is BoE. I'm used to event items being almost entirely locked to the character who does the event.

    The BoP annoyed me but also the fact that to get both you need 25 tokens and the event only runs 20 days and no I refuse to buy them at the bar store , that kinda defeats the whole purpose of getting them daily.
