So there is the summer festival, you get to herd animals, it all about the sun, farming and all that stuff.
So why are all the rewards sunite this and that, i remember when making my character that Amanatur or something was the god of the sun and was revered by farmers wheras sune was all about love and beauty and shouldn't really have anything to do with this fesitval???
I could be wrong, but it dosen't seem right
I have a tendancy to overthink things, and i really enjoy the religious lore and all that stuff, would really like to know if this is an error or if i am wrong, the way isee it:
Sune - God of beauty and emotions, nothing to do with the sun, changing of the seasons, farming.
Amaunator - God of sun and time, hes the god of the sun and time, thats sun and changing seasons, he is revered by farmers.
Why are all the summer festival rewards sunite stuff, before it has sun in the title of sunite???
For reals, this is not cool
now that you mention it, that's a darn good point. things like this usually strike me as screwy, but I hadn't yet caught this one. kudos to you.
the other thing that I don't get is why this is called a midsummer festival, when it's really marking the end of summer. even the actual events (especially the farming/feasting related ones) fall more in line with autumn/harvest type festivals anyway.
the whole thing just seems like a weird mishmashmoshpit of summer, autumn, Sune, and Amaunator.
You are asking for validation of accuracy from the developers who placed the city of Dragon Coast, with a description of beautiful shoreline and beaches in the MIDDLE OF FAERUN LANDMASS (like 300 miles inland from the coast).
Oh this makes me a sad bunny i played neverwinter nights about 10-12 years ago, i think, it feels that long anyway, always been a big fan of rpg games, and yeah i know this is an mmo, but meh... i mean i can maybe why sune is being used instead of amanataur, sune/sunite = sunneeee and sun - ite... yeah gj guys
Sune's portfolio is Beauty, Love, Passion. Other than potentially gathering fireflowers, nothing else in the festival could really be related to that. Should have gone with Chauntea, whose portfolio includes: Agriculture
Crops Farmers
Gardeners Summer
I almost had the same question, but to me "midsummer" brings "Midsummer Night's Dream" to mind - which falls into the Love category a bit nicer. Flowers seem to fit into Sune's beauty domain nicely, and there are quite a bit of those. Feasting... well who doesn't want to have a party to celebrate?
My gut-check reaction was "why not Chauntea?" when I heard about it. Then I saw the quests and such, and it seems alright to me.
