God what is wrong with you people you do know this is a F2P game model right. The focus of a f2p game is to make money in everyway possible. IE: the nightmare exploit they made cash off that. This is why the F2P game model is going to die. People are learning a f2p game is in no way really free.
You know the saying nothing in life is for free.
Just show the devs your not going to spend a dime on the game at all.
The nightmare exploit likely did more harm than good. If they reversed the changes then maybe they would have made a little cach. But now some people managed to get an almost guaranteed epic horse. That means:
1) If they didn't already have one they don't need to buy one from the zen store or legitimately from boxes. A few dollars for a few boxes or $35 for a mount?
2) Putting them on the market means that other people will buy it and the exploiter can buy whatever they like without costing any zen whatsoever.
But yes they are obviously in it for the money, that doesn't mean they can't make the game compelling to continue playing.
I dont understand how everyone brings the excuse that they only want to make money, ofcourse they do.
BUT increasing or at least maintaining the player base should be a primary concern, too. Their income comes from happy/satisfied players not from a ****ty game with nothing to do, nothing to upgrade your gear nothing to have fun/challange etc.
I only spend money for good gamesi want to continue playing.

I checked this afternoon. Less than 1000 across all shards in the PE, less than 200 in the new zone.

So you can use up to 5 assets? ( not including the artificer) noticed in your screen under required it has 2 files., and I'm guessing it has the 3 optional slots? Also do the tasks to make these just appear in your professions when you aquire one of the fragments?

Actually... i agree totally!
I only paid too for games that i was satisfied! Like w3, cs1.6, csGo, wow, and some other browser mmos. But i never spent any money on this game, hm.
The real problem is here that they using the wrong method to get money. Instead of puting a profession epic asset for 2k zen, they put them in boosterpacks with 1% chance to get one epic asset, and not what you actually need.
Yes they can make a lot money with this gambling method, but for how long? Players learn sooner or later, that its not worth a thing and wont buy anything!
They want to make a fortune in 1 day instead of 1 year, this is the problem with this model what they are using. They grab the money and start another MMO, and they let this one rot. Look how many mmos they have lol.
Even remember when we lost like half of the instances? Actually they started then another MMO with a new server! Coincidence?

Agreed. I spent about 500e iirc on STO when i was playing it, and i have yet to spend something here. I would gladly buy new classes, new parangon paths, new races or even nice fashion costumes (the current ones are all ugly), but i refuse to pay for power. I will never pay for something like enchantments, runestones or... this blatant pay for power feature. That's HAMSTER. They are just making me even less willing to spend something here. I really like the game but i really hate the monetization model.

Think a lot of people are being mislead here.
You do NOT need any professions leveled at all to get the Malabog mainhand/offhand set.
They drop normally in the dungeon. We got the offhand off the first boss, and the main hand dropped in the delve chest.
They are slightly superior to the CN sets without upgrades.
The weaponsmithing/artificing + shards simply offers you a long *** grind to VERY slightly further upgrade your main hand. Adds a few damage and sub ~5% stats, nothing serious.
So yea its a huge grind (especially since they are otherwise worthless professions), but simply getting an upgrade vs CN is actually quite simple. Especially given the dungeon is vastly shorter and easier then CN, so enjoy.
I'm a bit annoyed all the weps/offhands are BoP so we can't make much diamonds farming it, especially since they said that would only apply to chest drops (It doesn't here) but oh well, don't have a lot of time to play to do that these days anyways.
But the fact you can upgrade them further is a good thing.. It changes an otherwise 100% worthless profession into one that has purpose, albeit only for those VERY dedicated towards having the best gear.
so if that is the case then my only incentive now for running new content is the boons cause i will not be leveling weaponsmit for something that requires payment just for that extra boost XD it is really, worthless then, the formorian weapons should be like reinforced gaulets and they should be common task that ask for the items and thats it, even more if they are BoP since for what purpose you will buy assets if you are not going to earn AD from them is stupid
Everything works out in the end . If it hasn't worked out yet, it isn't the end...
Let me add this to the mix: The blade fragments will be Needed on by every
single person, since they are worth 2 million AD right now. Even if its for a weapon you cant
use, you can still need since its a crafting item.
That makes it VERY pug unfriendly. Small chance for 1 to drop, than you have
a 20% chance of winning the roll on top of that.
Another "brilliant" idea. The game is constantly losing population, and they come
up with yet another idea not to entice you to play with pugs or new people.

Seriously? Dang! I knew people were leaving this game, but that is astounding.
It's not unexpected though. They've basically stripped away the majority of ways to create wealth in this game. I basically log in for:
1. Leadership crafting
2. PVP
3. Sharandar Dailies
4. Neverember's Daily if it isn't lame (Dread Vault was yesterday, I laughed!).
I no longer:
1. Run T1/T2s. It has an extremely poor risk/reward ratio.
2. Do Gauntlygrym (unless Neverember gives a daily).
3. Run CN (until they fix the bugs on last boss).
4. Work the AH. All prices are insanely inflated due to BoP mechanic.

Tell me one person who has level 20 artificing/wep smithing that just exclusively pugs?
You cant?
Oh. I thought so.
Don't complain about unrealistic impossible scenarios. Anyone rich enough to be able to use the fragments also will also basic social ability to be able to form a group with friends.
If anything, this is anti-organized groups, because puggers will always need on the items and 99.9999% of the time not be able to use them due to never getting the lvl20 crafting + several purple assets required to make use of it the item, while organized guilds/groups of friends may.
