Alchemy Level 17 Experimentation RNG is horribad

I got 3 of the 4 certs required for leveling fairly quickly...but I have made over 25 attempts to get my fourth one and it is getting very frustrating and time consuming and stupid. Eventually I hope to be able to have pots made up for dungeon delves, instead of purchasing with gold or ad or the rare drop.

Just wondering if anyone else is having problems with the rng.

    I think it's less a problem with Experimentation at a particular rank, so much as the entire Experimentation system is poorly designed in the first place. They really need to adjust it. :/

    I had the same slump at lower ranks (I think before 10) and I think what "fixed" it is a new patch. I also avoided experimentation via the gateway until the curse was lifted. maybe you need to report it because 25 lvl 17 experimentations with no alchemical knowledge seems bugged

    That was level 4 for me, I feel your pain. I think I did the experimentation task at that level close to 50 times. The rest weren't that bad.

    I did quite a few experimental tasks at lower level through gateway and never got a single basic knowledge.... so I gave up figuring it was made to not give those the same way you can't get AD from leadership through gateway..... was I just unlucky? Or can anyone confirm that you can or can't get basic knowledge through gateway

    feel kind of stupid now...level 17 only takes three ak...is why it wouldn't give me another...

    I got hit with this at level 8, I had to do at least 10 experiments per result. On the other hand I got a colection of random potions to HAVE FUN WITH

    If you have an epic Alchemist you have a higher chance of getting what you need. However, I'll say this again, Alchemy is a worthless task. Because of the random element to leveling instead of steady XP gain, it will actually take you longer than, say, Mailsmithing, and in the end you won't make nearly the same amount of money off of it.

    I've been find that it averages out to about 1 in 3 experiments generating knowledge. No appreciable difference between getting scrolls via Gateway or in-game.
