ROFL. It is not up to you to make and enforce laws. If players keep crying for specifics of their cash shops to be released then one day the Government may make such laws and don't QQ Moar when it happens to be the P2P games that get regulated.
I don't see where I said I make or enforce laws. I don't see where I said one game should be regulated while others should not. I have an opinion. Wasn't meant to be funny, but I am glad you got a laugh out of it.
Making more money is always the biggest reason for any business. P2P and B2P games can also establish all F2P cash shop features to enhance the profits of their investors. You can have your opinion while the others can have theirs but either way it becomes the general discussion of cash shops, not specifically pertaining to this game. It is just OFF-TOPIC.
If i am entitled to my opinion then why are you arguing with me? I have stated that if anyone has to disclose cash shop info then all of them should. Im not talking about specific games here im talking in generalization as well. I never said that B2P and P2P games dont/will never have an aspect of P2W or that they should be excluded from disclosure of cash shop items. I simply said in more words that it would have less of an impact on who/how many people purchase/play their games as opposed to P2W/F2P games.

Sure you can express your opinion but if it is your general opinion towards general games then why should it be in the general forum of this game?
Are all P2P and B2P games having every single specific of every single item of their cash shops listed on their website?
Fanboy mentality? I am not a fanboy of anybody and I don't get any profits from posting and I am not affliated with them whatsoever. I hope every troll can say the same thing but bear in mind whatever you have real world responsibilites in what you say...
The ones I have played yes they do, I even think PWI does this with their shop as well STO has shop viewable at least.
And yes That's F2P one also. but my point is Cash shops items are posted on their website to view, and see things that been added without going into the game.
Sorry, just seems you were getting upset over this. That's why I thought you had that Fanboy mentality.
(Also, I don't think I aimed this right. It was more of a correction on whoever said Cash shops should be viewed before getting the game. I meant to have this be pointed out that most games do this.)

Find out yourself from other P2P and B2P games such as those from Funcom.
Not everybody lists what they sell in their cash shops because it is not required. For this game they put up announcements every time when new items are added to the cash shop. That's fair enough already.
Even in real world stores like Walmart, you may find an ad on newspaper but they don't list all the items they sell. You can go to Walmart yourself and find out what they sell for free. Likewise, it is free to check out here. You can always log in.
because this thread turned into a B2P vs F2P thread and is in the general discussion forums.
Then this thread should be moved to off-topic because (1) it is no longer indicative unless somebody can tell us why F2P games need to explicitly show their cash shops outside the games while P2P and B2P games don't and (2) Neverwineter Online is not the only F2P games.

I don't view F2P games as "free to play" so much as "premium" games, where you can choose what class of service you want, like when buying an airplane ticket or a hotel room.
Shouldn't P2P and B2P games also need to specify what they have in their cash shops too to let people judge whether they are interested to play their games?
If online games are required to explicitly specify what are in their cash shops then P2P and B2P, particularly B2P and P2P games without free trial, have much bigger such responsibilities to let their players know because their players have to pay to find out what are in their in-game cash shops.
Don't just patronize P2P and B2P games just because they don't call themselves F2P. Consumers are not stupid.
First off, what games are you trying to Allude to that uses a Buy to play or Pay to play model that also offers an in game store where people Are not informed upfront what items are in said companies Store? World of Warcraft for example has Always made it very clear what they have listed in the Blizzard Online store. It's never been some secret that players had to spend time investigating what was in the Blizzard store, it's advertised on the Blizzard website along with everything else Blizzard related.
So which game/games are you trying to use in your (example) that offers an in game store but does not fully inform the player base what they sale? I am curious, since your adamantly arguing that Buy to play/Pay to play games some how keep this information a secret or do a poor job of informing players of the items sold in their online stores.

1. You are the one that turned it into a debate on cash shop etiquette. 2. No one said that Neverwinter was the only F2P game out. Its used as a comparison by people on here because it is Neverwinter forums that this is on. Also, the thread stayed pretty much on topic the whole time so there is no need to move it to "Off- Topic".
Also, in the OP, he qoutes a snippet of info regarding cash shops and states that he feels that Games in general should make this info public ahead of time, not just F2P. He just says that doing so will make him feel better about F2P games in particular.

I actually enjoy the discussions in this thread, and find the information to be very informative.

I hear ya, just saying that jade turned it from a discussion of the F2P model(at least that is what the thread was intended for i think) into a debate about cash shop etiquette.
