Not sure if you missed the rulebook or not but you were clearly absent the day they taught logical thinking. As for it mattering to me what they call it.....does not matter at all. What does matter is the sheep who are already making the "this is beta" excuse rather than holding developer accountable (again though I think launch has went as well as expected and better than most). The fact is there is no objective indication this is anything other than an actual launch. You may need a rulebook to tell you such thingd, but most of have enough mental capacity to understand that if the world is now persistent, open to everyone, and the cash shop shop is open.....then it is an official launch whether they call it beta or not.

I knew you will just chalk it up to 'logical thinking'. People often do it when they are unable to answer a question. I simply wanted to know from where you got the idea that if there are no character wipes it is not a beta test. And just like i guessed you don't know the answer.

So let us see if a company decided to call their game launch an 'official release' people like you complain that 'sheep' don't realize that is just an open beta and not a complete release.

And if company decides to call it an 'open beta launch' people like you still complain that 'sheep' do not realize that they are just fooling you with semantics and it is infact an 'official release' and not open beta.

There is no winning with guys like you. You will find something to complain about no matter what.

Is 'sheep' your favorite animal by the way? you like to say it a lot.

Cryptic make awesome games but they never test them right :I

I am actually looking forward to what insane bugs and glitches appear in this game . So far Champs has the best Cryptic glitches ..the SONIC BOOMS* of 2011 is one of my faves.

Wait, you mean you might actually need to group up in an MMO to get to endgame?

50-60 isn't end game, that is leveling. :p In the early 50s, I haven't really seen this. Yes, I sometimes aggro additional groups when I kite (CW), but that is fine -- I like 50+ better than 10-20 because it's more challenging and there are close calls.

By the way, WoW became so successful in part because people did not need to group for everything (before the actual end game), which was a stark contrast to EQ. (UO didn't need grouping either, but it was a sandbox.) I prefer leveling alone because I can play as long or as short as I'd like, I can go AFK, tab out for forums, check mail, grab some food, etc. If you quest with people, you're stuck.

But as mentioned, I think mob density is just fine, and sometimes getting kicked off the mount is fine, too.

Nice to hear from a CW about their experience. Your DPS and CC are much greater than a cleric, in the end I think clerics just have to either kite very well or man up and pop that shield and pretend to be melee-ish. I fully expect that leveling both my wizards will be a heck of a lot smoother. First because I will be spamming foundry quests more often to be ahead of zones and second because their CC and DPS is better.

I did answer your question, but maybe you did not read it slow enough. If I am selling a hot dog, but I call it a hamburger it is still a hot dog. What I call it has little relevance. If the analogy is to deep for you again I will say it is not just about char wipes that is just one component. It is about the fact that by every objective measure this game is officially launching today. Not having char wipes is just one of many obtective measurements used to easily see this. The zen shop being open is probably the most significant measure of this.

I have only been playing a few days, but so far this game seems very polished relative to other games at launch. My only big concern is if servers are up to the task tonight and especially this weekend.

Well, there is a downside to it, too: no heals. The only heals come from the rank 15 cleric companion, and she dies extremely quickly. Not every fight, but every third or so, and I do use potions. At some points in the 40s I burnt through potions at an alarming rate. This got better when Steal Time became available at 45, and when I sacrificed damage for using Shield.

I can't compare it to a cleric at that level, since mine is still just below 20 (and he did level faster ... seal + sunburst, loot, next group). I watched a video by a cleric who tanks epic dungeons at 60, and that looked good to me. May require a different build than you have, though. Personally, I would prefer that over the mad blinking my CW does when solo'ing, but yes, the grass is probably always greener elsewhere. :)

Clerics actually have some of the strongest AOE in the game. Friend of mine in the mid 50's one shots entire mob packs at his level, and kills stuff as fast or faster than just about everythign but a rogue.

I mean 99% of what you post is insults, negative and argumentative.

Oh ya and jealous, can't forget you constatly show that... just because people have $200 of disposable income and you dont. The game is really fun btw, I have no complaints about it really. And anyone can "moan on the forums" for free, so you are again making zero sense.
