Guild Currently Recruiting: All Classes
Current Guild Size: 26 members
Guild Size Goal: 50 active members
Guild Type: PvE progression focused with PvP events, we all love pre-mades as much as raiding.
Guild Peak Time Zones: We are a late night raiding guild, usually from 9pm to 1 am PST.
Guild Gaming History: WoW, AoC, Aion, Rift, SWtoR, TERA, PS2, Defiance, and many more.
Description: Tenacity is not open to any player that just decides they want to join. We only take players that play the game with a serious focus on progressing. If you are the type of player that is happy with trying a raid, failing, quitting, and trying again next week, we dont want you. We want the player thats going to die to the same boss 15 times in one night but be proud of the fact that he downed the boss on the 16th attempt. We seek dedicated and devoted players, nothing more, nothing less. Check out or website for more information

We do have an application process after open beta starts. Anyone that applies now will be let in based on your application alone. However, anyone who becomes a member prior to open beta starting will still be tested just like any other member after our leaders reach the point in the game that they are able to do so. For example, if you join now, you will be made a member on the website. Upon reaching level 60 and the first epic dungeons, you will be asked to join us on dungeon runs where you will be tested as a player. If you fail to be the kind of player we are looking for, you will be asked to leave the guild, if you pass, you will be promoted in the guild in-game to member.
We dont have some kind of crazy expectations, and it is okay to mess up. However, we will refuse any member that gets easily frustrated or that wants to quit because things are going great. We also deny applications from any member who trolls either guild or general chat, and any member that attempts to pick fights with players in or out of the guild.

I went and applied just a few moments ago. You sound like what I'm looking forward to in an end game guild that wants to actually raid and doesn't put up with bullsh*t from whiners and people who don't want to raid/dungeon delve.
Just curious for I haven't seen any mention of it; What voice chat system are you going to be using?
We are currently using Raidcall.
Perhaps, but allow me to clarify.
When filling our roster, we want to maintain an active group of 50 players, if we have to have 200 people in guild to get 50 players that are active on a regular bases, then we will recruit 200 people.
We don't expect players to be pro, we expect players to know how to play the game. We can fix specs, we can fix the skills people use, we can even fix the gear you wear, but we can't fix a player who never dodges or always stands in HAMSTER they shouldn't be standing in. Above all else, we can't fix a terrible attitude.
You are correct about the trolls though, we don't tolerate that, there is no reason for it and it just reflects badly on the guild as a whole.
Tenacity is a guild focused on PvE progression. If you want a PvP focused guild, we are probably not what you are looking for. However, we do continuous events throughout the month, in fact each one of our elite officers is required to run two events every month. These events can range from PvP pre-mades to World boss dragon hunts. They will range from Hide and Seek to guild made foundry quests. But all of these events are designed to promote unity in the guild and they are suppose to be fun. We ask our members to be serious during the PvE progression, during anything else, they can act however they want as long as they aren't making the guild look bad in the process.
For those that are wondering, as long as the loot system in game allows for it, we will be using a DKP system.
We will also be setting up community events as well as guild events. Guild events will earn you DKP, while community events will give the entire community an opportunity to earn gold/gear/mounts/ect.
Even if you chose not to join, we do understand and we still hope that you come out and participate in the community events we host. There are currently 2 community events in the works for the beginning of May, as the full details get ironed out, we will be setting up a separate thread in the forums where people will be able to see which events are taking place. Non-members will also be able to view the calendar on our guild site, as well as visit a community events forum on our website at Tenacitynwo.guildlaunch.com
Well if you think you fit that description, then go ahead and apply and we're that much closer to the desired number.
We want players who laugh in the face of danger.
We want players that don't accept that they can't kill a certain boss.
We want players that wipe to a boss and say "This time, he will die"
We want players who don't quit, even when they are the last one alive.
If you are that kind of player, We want you. Apply at tenacitynwo.guildlaunch.com
The events will be server wide, you do not have to be in our guild to participate in them. There are two posted on our forums right now, however we do not have the dates yet for when they will be taking place. Both of those events will likely take place the first or second weekend in May but we will post on the forums well ahead of time so you can all be prepared.
If you wish to look and see what we are planning, go to tenacitynwo.guildlaunch.com and click on forums, then go to the community events forum. Keep in mind that they are both simply in the first stages and they still need the details mapped out, so please dont go into them expecting a complete plan.

We do have selective recruitment, but please dont let that discourage you from applying if you feel like you are a good fit for us.
I come from a tight-knit group of highly skilled players, and they're too busy in ToT to play neverwinter. Hope to hear from you soon!
Your girlfriend is more than welcome to join, we will look into adding a ranking system for players that dont desire to be in the raid pool, while our goal is 50 active players, we dont mind taking on those players who will not be able to play all the time or who are friends/family of our members. We do understand that people want to play the game with players they know, and we will do whatever we need to to accommodate this. She will also be allowed to bypass the skills test if she will not be raiding with us, guild events and such will still be open to her though.
Most of the officers will be starting on the 27th, also most of the applicants so far will also be starting on the 27th. I dont recall any members that will be starting on the 25th, though I havent looked into the status of everyone yet. We also have a lot of players that havent joined the website yet, I am currently unaware of their founder status as well.
Our two officers Zeke and Zander are west coast, most of the things they put together will be later. However, I am the guild leader and I am east coast, I haven't committed to a east coast time schedule yet, because I would prefer to make several events at the beginning and see which ones are the most popular. So there is an east coast presence in the guild, we just don't have set times yet like the west coast people do. We are looking to schedule events at multiple times though.
My only limitations are that I have a wife and kids, so I don't play nearly as often as I would want to. I come from a high-ranking RTS/DOTA background, so my mechanical skills are top-notch. Basically my only goal in this game is progression of content/level/gear.
We look forward to playing with you in game.
Welcome to Tenacity!
If you are serious about PvE progression and you want to be in a dedicated guild, please check out Tenacity and apply at Tenacitynwo.guildlaunch.com
We will be voting on the winners on May 6th and 7th, and winners will be announced on May 8th.
The official announcement doesn't go up until tomorrow, but we felt like everyone supporting us while we steadily reach our desired player base should be the first ones to know. I will also post a direct link to the official forums post on this topic tomorrow after it is up.

Yes and No. The game doesn't have raids in the typical sense of the word. The raiding in this game is more like TERA, if you have ever played that. It is designed to be extremely hard 5 man content, versus the 10-40 man raids in most MMOs. This both disappoints and excites us. While we would prefer to come together as an entire community and raid in the traditional sense, this does allow us flexibility on our raid scheduling. We are hoping that they cave under the pressure of the community eventually and add in content that an entire guild can participate in (Because I believe that raids are one of those things that just bring a guild closer together, and with strictly 5 man content, it is a little hard to replicate the cohesion in other games.) Anyways, even if they dont end up adding larger raids in the future, we will still attack the 5 mans with everything we have. Although, I will say that it is a tricky slope, if they do stick to just 5 man content, they will have to make it quite challenging, or they wont hold the interest of the hardcore players such as the people in Tenacity. For now, we will stick it out and see what happens.
In case you want to see the reference material, here is the direct quote:
Andy Velasquez: "Personally I feel like our Dungeon Delves are huge improvement over the overall raiding experience that I have personally experienced playing MMOs. When I think about what I loved during my time raiding in other MMO?s it was always the joy of getting mah phat lewtz and the challenge of taking down interesting content with my buddies. What I hated was the slog that almost always came with it.
Our Dungeon Delves are still the places where you will be going to get your phat lewt. They are still where you will find the some of the most interesting bosses, monsters and locations Neverwinter has to offer and you are your friends will be challenged to take down all of the content in them. Yet they are meant to be shorter less grindy affairs than traditional MMO raids"
For clarification purposes: A Dungeon Delve is essentially a hard mode dungeon that supposedly is designed to take roughly an hour to complete. At least, the way I understand it. Here is the quote from the FAQs
Iamtruthseeker: "The Delve is a multi-player chalenge for up to five players and is repeatable (so if you didn't get what you wanted, you can try again,) and is finish-able in about an hour's time."
I really hope that this doesn't mean that you will essentially be handed out gear, because that is what killed WoW imo. But I chose not to interpret it that way for now.

Yeah I hear ya. Given this game's style of combat I can't really see group content involving much more than 10 players. Having the sort of soft trinity that they've got going kinda complicates things as far as group make-up goes (X amount of tanks, healers, etc) because it can be so random unless the group purposely organizes themselves a certain way, something the devs can't anticipate or build around when designing encounters.
Too many players and everyone with a basic understanding of "stay out of the fire" just rolls a control wizard and DPS's the fack out of whatever's in their way. You prob risk this even with a 10 man.
5 mans are probably what we'll see from here on in. It's easier to balance fights as well as make them more difficult by forcing players in such small groups to really micro their resources such as a GF's block against a boss who can deplete it in just a few attacks or a DC's dodge.
The combat is so simple ill be very surprised to see raid style content without it just becoming a mindless Zerg of DPS or GF'S with virtually infinite block between them. Lol

Agreed. Unfortunately the player base in this game sort of terrifies me. There are so many casual guilds, that if they listen to the community, the game would likely get even softer than it will be when it launches. That to me is sad, but it happens in every game. I dont know why players dont want to put in the time and effort to do anything meaningful, but then turn around and complain on the forums because they arent able to clear all the content. Why nerf a dungeon when 40% of the players are clearing it? What, just for billy that posted on the forums because he has no idea how to play his class but he really wants to finish all the content?
Sorry, these cotton candy flavored MMOs out now just frustrate me. It leads to players game hopping almost constantly because they are looking for that challenge again that you just dont find in MMOs anymore. I suppose one day when my life is boring I will want a casual game and a casual guild. Until then I going to hope just one developer comes out with a game that isnt designed for pansies.
There isnt even another game coming out anytime in the foreseeable future that I will be interested in. So for now, its this game. No matter how good or bad it is, I will be sticking with it. I suppose I should consider starting to bug the developers on the forums for harder content. No matter how hard they make the content at launch, it could probably stand to be harder.
I think it's less about who's complaining on the forums and more about money.
If only 40% of a playerbase is completing your endgame content then that's 60% who have given up and quit. That's lost revenue. A smart businessman makes his product accessible to as many forms of consumer as humanly possible unless he's purposely going after a particular market (see: Camelot Unchained).
At the same time, video games at their very core are about having fun, casually. MMOs are sort of that weird crossover, a relatively new genre still trying to find it's identity.
We shall see with this new one.
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
I suppose that is true. However, so many MMOs are trying to compete with the casual market, there just arent many games for the players that enjoy challenges and puzzles. I understand that casual players are a bigger portion of the market, but at some point, you have to realize that there are too many people drilling that oil pit and dig a new hole.
Truth. I forget what it's called but there's an MMO being ported over from Japan in which one facet of gameplay is owning and operating a farm, building up resources and so on and so forth. Now lets say you log out for an extended period of time. Your crops could die or other players could destroy it BUT guild members can actually protect it while you're gone or members of other groups with whom you've formed alliances. It's a lil like Eve. High risk breeds large reward. I love that.
But before you hijack your own thread, I'll prob be putting an app in this afternoon. I'm a hardcore PvE'er and regardless of which approach this game takes, it'll be nice to log in to a guild of like minds.
Besides, if content proves to be too easy, we can always make our own in the foundry. Difficult pairings of mobs or traps that necessitate tip toe progression.....many possibilities.
Cheers
