Please get the times right...

So, today it's two hours difference for me...
I noticed this a lot during the past weeks. On thursday, it's totally random how much time passes until Neverwinter patches. UTC 14-16 is what it says today. For the record, it's UTC 15:00 now and the downtime starts /now/. Currently, I'm one hour behind UTC. But, sadly, the launcher is extremely inaccurate and randomly uses the actual UTC-time or skips one hour. Would be really comfortable for me (us) european players if we could actually count on the announced patching time...

For those wondering, check the UTC-time here:

They probably just set it as PDT by accident when converting and never changed it. The PST time on the announcement was correct.

That'd make sense, if it was like that /all the time/. But like mentioned in initial post, it isn't. Sometimes it's correct, sometimes not. It really is a gamble...

I live in EST so I just convert by adding 3 hours to whatever they announce for their pacific time and I can't remember them ever getting it wrong.

That's cool. I know it might be called a "minor issue", but it's the little things that count sometimes

Again, it's not about the PST.... it's about the UTC, which is giving troubles. I noticed that in Champions Online already... So, it's not about the time stated in general but about the "gamble" of UTC, which is easier for us europeans to take as a measuring point... just check the patcher right now and compare it to the linked page in initial post. According to that, we'd have the server up and running right now.

All it really means is that it's not automated. They've got someone using a site like the one you linked and they used PDT by accident.

An automated process for inserting the time conversion would probably be far less prone to error. They might want to look into that.

    Here we go again-.-

Now it's one hour "early" according to UTC. Not that I mean to insult, but is it that hard to open the UTC in a browser and check what time it is when making the announcement so the time is actually right? Because yes, for me it's an organizing issue...

It usually happens this time of year, and horribly confuses Europeans who have not shifted to summer time yet. But yes, it does demonstrate complete incompetence that they can't simply add 8 in the winter and 7 in the summer.
