Holy mother of god, you can buy powerpoints now!?!?!?! Why did no one tell me :(

Just started playing again, and only just now do i learn that sharandar gives you an option to buy powerpoints. Sayyyy whatttttttt???????

    It is a " new " thingy they added.
    You can actually achive it now very fast if you go fish in the winter festival for treasures. Exchanging them ( behind the band in the winter festival instance ) will give you currencies you ll need to get the power points even faster.

    yes.. they added it , however, frankly I never did it.. you roughly earn a chance at a power point every few weeks, it adds up over time. I have 5-6 toons with between 95 and 100 power points.. and a few more at over 80 now.

    Most classes around 90+ you start looking at whats left for powers and your like.. man these are all HAMSTER powers, no one will ever use.. ever.. (thanks warding flare and things like punishing charge.. woot, glad I have points in you now.. not)

    One of my toons is at 102 now and I have like 6 power points flashing all the time.. because what is left is useless.

    They're good for completionists and fresh 70s. Most of my chars are well past having 4 pts in their commonly used skills, but a few could use some tweaking. I've been waiting for the 2x event that starts when the server comes up to get a couple of points on those.

    Yeah i actually have 4 or 5 powers i use all the time that need to be maxed out. And i have been getting overflow a lot, but the past 4 have not dropped any points at all. SO im totally stoked for this, going to do that fishing like u said. And its 2x campaign rewards this week. Nice.

    useless for maxed out mains, but i still need tons of Linu's for last 2 boons, older power points, none of my alts need any, they all did except Tyranny.
    it only good for new alts that just made.

    I think it's great; sure, plenty of options are non-starters, but if you have some new gear that changes your stats significantly or just want to play around with a different play style, you don't need to respec, just add the new things and give 'em a try.

    A few months back? With either Mod10 or Mod10.5.

    But yeah. The top Sharandar repeatable campaign tasks now give Power Points.

    Good lord, not that recently. It was an addition with The Maze Engine.

    Pair it with 2x campaign weekends and it's not the worst way to get your points up on a new character.

    Admittedly it's not well documented in-game (shocking!) unless you happen to check campaign tasks with some regularity. Yes I know it was announced at one point, but if you missed that announcement then you'd have to stumble upon it.

    New players also aren't really pointed to it well, but I suppose you'd expect they should read through the campaign tasks when they first do a campaign.

    I expect people to read all the menus and NPC dialogues and click everything in each UI to see what it does, but my expectations really only exist to be shattered at every turn.
