Unable to Show Character Nametag

It seems that ever since the Alliance update I have been unable to click the options in drop down menus in my options. I have tried to reinstall the game and client as well as do a forced update and still have this issue. I seem to click through the drop downs to the options in general. An example of this is on the nameplate for my own characters that I can select the first option but not the bottom two, which i think are always and mouseover.

I've seen other reports of not being able to display your character name as a bug, but is this also true of things like your graphics settings?

Not sure if this is a related issue - but I am unable to select "any" box from the drop down menu under HUD/Yourself - Name or Life. One acct works fine the other .....nothing - wont even check a box let along save it.

This bug has been present for a while. It's some issue with the UI itself. I'm not sure exactly what caused it, but it has been in the game since around either Strongholds or Underdark.

Could be that in all but it has been a issue with me ever since I came back to the game after taking a break of doing nothing more than logging in for VIP daily key and such. It is on all characters of my account and it effects my daughter's account as well on a different and newer computer so not sure and wish could get feedback that it is being looked at other than it being known though as its a pain for those of us that have to have the visual confirmation what characters we are on due to having so many lol

edited: Almost forgot to add that this is also on just about every drop down from about halfway down on the screen and doesnt matter if we move the options window around or not to attempt to find the 'sweet spot' to get by this. I have also attempted fresh install numerous times along with a clean install and force verify...forget if i stated the install and verify in original

I've reported it in forums and ingame for about a month now. No change. It seems a simple bug to fix. It's nice to see your own health at the same time you're focusing on enemies. The problem seems to be that the "Yourself" section has gone behind the other functions and won't activate when you want it to, to me it seems an easy bug to fix but Cryptic aren't listening.

I have done ingame tickets several times as well as has many of the people that i have talked to even put posts in patch notes about it and nothing seems to be happening no acknowledgment of the issue that I have seen. When I google it now it shows this post with the search label being "Neverwinter Unable to Show name tag in game"

I have also reported this via in-game ticket and have not received a reply. It is very annoying for those of us that want this option activated. The UI interface is the issue and needs a fix. Let's hope its sorted for Mod 10 if not sooner. Or a work around would be good, while we wait.

I have looked at patch notes, force verified after each update and nope no work around that way but would be nice to get something to say 'Hey we regret to know this happened but we are looking into it' but then I do not ever see the tickets that i put in ingame the list is ALWAYS empty. Reminds me of an old manager i used to work for if he got applications for a job from people that he felt did not look handsome or pretty he tossed them

I have found that you can fix this on characters that 'ALREADY' have the UI set. I think someone already touched on this but on the character that has the name and such over their heads just select save UI and then on each character that doesn't then click load ui. There is the link that micky1p00 posted to another thread on here but I do not want to go messing with the game folders as did that on Tera Online to fix an issue and was blocked for four months while I told the devs had just did what they had told me to do.

Edit: To Add....This can also work if like me have others that use my computer to play the game. My daughter started playing after this issue started and I was able to save my UI and walk her through getting hers to show names by her logging into her account and then loading the UI. Thought would just add that in case anyone else is curious
