Any particular reason why Oathbound Paladins do not have a Class Questline?

Or do they have one and I'm just missing it?

    The simplest reason of all....

    Nobody wrote one.

    Well yes, obviously.

But why not? Every other Class/Race has one, right?

    So why not Paladins.

They are one of the classes that were added later. They probably just forgot, since it is just a little side track, or they had to prioritize something else.

Paladins came with mod6, when devs were busy turning off dungeons and regeneration.

How sad is it that this seems like a perfectly acceptable answer.

... I wasn't aware classes had one. Is the CW one worth doing ?

I don't remember doing any of the class quests. Not sure what the rewards are, but probably nothing worth jumping the ship for. The racial quests for elves has a good looking cloak at the end.

You mean any particular reason other than they didn't bother doing one?

The racial quest for the elves never worked for me - it broke somewhere along the line on every elf, so I was never able to finish it. I reported it several times... maybe they fixed it and I never knew? I haven't check it in years...

I might have ot mixed up, but I believe that I did that quest a month or two ago, with a half elf alt.

I also got it right around icewindale mod, when I took a race/sex change on what now is my main.

Dragonborn, Hunter Rangers and Oathbound Paladins all got shortchanged on quests. However, race and class quests are poor value for development time. It's better value to create repeatable campaign quests or event quests that every can run than to create low-level quests that are limited to a small subsection of the population.

7 Levels on either side of you if I remember correctly. @ lvl 70 anything below lvl 63 doesn't show the ? . Might be 10 levels, I can't quite remember.

As far as I can tell they all ended at Whispering Caverns or thereabouts. I suppose with so many people just rushing to 70 without even reading the quest text they figured it was not worth the investment.

I think it is a shame, those quests were nice touches that gave you a little more insight into the story of the classes and races of the Forgotten Realms.

Here is a thought: Why not make a request for an unofficial one on the Foundry forums? We Authors who remain are usually on the lookout for ideas and inspiration. Many of us know our way around the Forgotten Realms pretty well.

Conclusions are usually in Hotenow or Whispering Caverns, and some actually finish up with a lair that you enter from PE.

There was a time period where the mail messaging to direct you to these quest-givers got disabled and since people were also outlevelling quest markers willy-nilly and you have to complete each prerequisite to trigger the next bit, it's really hard to get them back on track if you don't know exactly what you're doing.

If I am remembering correctly Mod 6 was also when most of the devs and our community manager all left and we got a new batch which included Andy.......not sure if that had anything to do with it but the new dev team had a lot of learning to do then and possibly it never occurred to them to create any quest line for the OP's......just my 2 cents
