There needs to be a new way to get the PVP Lionsmane Set (PC)

So I only just started playing again and have reached lvl 70 on my GF only to find out that siege PVP is dead which rules out being able to get the Lionsmane set which also rules out any hope for being BIS.
Now I know that i'll probably never be decked out in full rank 12's but I thought that if I could just set a goal to grind for the best PVP set and focus on refining my artifacts and getting all my boons that I'd at least be able to hold my own against most.
But that option is totally ruled out it seems for new players now that nobody plays siege pvp, not only that it makes it unfair knowing that there are a lot of people out there that have their full set from playing while siege pvp was still a thing. If I can't start at least working towards getting the best gear it's going to take the fun out of the game for me.
Does anyone know if cryptic is trying to fix this? Also, I'd like to hear if anyone has any kewl ideas on different ways to grind for the set, like maybe adding a chest to the daily pvp reward or something like that?

in the coming june 7 patch: "Stronghold PvP now allows entry at a minimum of 30 players, decreased from 40. The maximum team size difference at the beginning is 2 (e.g. 16v18, or 19v20, but not 15v18).
The game will continue to add players after the match begins until the maximum number of players is reached."
also the towers arent currently working so u arent geeting pwnd by my rank 10 archer aoes or ap draining wizards and mushrooms these days so less QQ moar Pewpew x ;P

Go to your friends list, then the Find Person tab, and type in siege. If you search that and 40+people come up, then it is active. Just que, and when that match ends you usually get a pop. Or....make or buy the Mastercraft armor. It has slightly better stats, and only slightly less tenacity because of the lack of a set bonus.
Since I've made this post I've joined the "I need banners" channel. I live in Australia which means I have to get up at 4am to join siege when it's at its busiest. This was annoying and difficult but I tried it for a full week and am amazed by how broken it is. I got up at 4am every morning to get a max of 2-3 games each day where the matches were filled with Paladins/SW's/Hr's/Dc's using broken companions.
After 1 week straight of getting up at 4am before work I can now afford just one piece of the lionsmane set (the gloves)
I love this game and when I found out that this channel could help me get siege games I was hopeful and thought I'd really try to grind for the gear. After what I've experienced in the past week I can now finally say that this is the end of the road for me (for now)
Neverwinter siege pvp is easily the worst pvp experience I've ever had in any mmo (and I've played many mmos)

- Your complaint is specific to lionsmane gear. Can't people make the same statement about any opportunity that is more readily available to you than to them, i.e. drains or rings requiring higher level SHs?
- Changing things that have been in place for a while is always a touchy subject: for every person who potentially benefits from the new easier availability of desirable thing X, 5 people grunted through the previous 'harder' way, and feel cheated.
I'm not disagreeing with you or your belief that you're as entitled to lionsmane gear - or anything else - as everyone else is, but at some point people need to recognize that people who work harder (or get lucky) deserve more.**Note that my assumption is that people who have 'desirable thing X' really did work hard for it by sitting in queues or farming ultra-rare drops or playing at odd hours, etc. - not people who exploited to get it.
The best...is not just Lionsmane. I've been hard pressed to look at anything other than the Black Ice Gear set I had of mixed Purified and Corrupt gear.
I'm the proud owner of two pieces of upgraded Elemental Lionsmane Executioner gear now. I don't really farm if I can avoid it.
Getting it is more about persistence, than patience. Call your friends in, call on your guild, and call in LFG like I did. You may not have a set in a week, but you'll have it soon.

And unless is it normal? People need to stand for hours in a queue, trying to get on a siege and not to have an opportunity to descend neither in a dungeon nor on domination.
the same thing might happen here they will just give it away as RNG like last time
you might get 3 pairs of pvp boots all the same but least you did not have to grind as heavy for it as siege
they have done the same thing with weapons ..grind for them .. then put them in a lock box or as a campaign reward grind/ create ...
Secondly, you say that changing something that has been put in place for a long time is a touchy subject.
Well stronghold siege has been broken for a long time, sure. But back when it was new you could join siege all day any day because so many people wanted to get their pvp set. Now you can't, which means that not everyone is "equally entitled" to get the same gear.
Not that this matters much anymore, Since my last post I have given away my rank 12's and trans enchants and have moved onto more rewarding games.
Will defs keep tabs on how the game is going for the ps4 release (hopefully they fix many of the broken things that hurt the game/players).
Until then, rip Neverwinter.
Had you bothered to inform yourself and join the siege banner channel you would have had an "equal chance" at gear ...therefore YOU are biased and rest of your argument is void
and they just adjusted it to start at 30 people

I did join the I need banners channel and was getting max 2-3 games a day between 4-6am, after that there were zero pops......
That's a big difference compared to being able to join all day everyday like it used to be.
My point is that siege pvp isn't fun nor is it a system that is available to everyone.... That's it.
Hey pal - I sympathize with you, I really do, but I just have a hard time with the idea of refusing to reward someone who puts more time and energy into something than I do. They didn't buy lionsmane gear, it wasn't a RNG reward from a chest... they sat thru the same broken system you're (rightfully) complaining about, some of them potentially at the same bizarre time of day that you're dealing with, and earned it. As a game designer, that's how you get people to keep coming back and playing a game... by giving them something meaningful to work towards! Their intent was to get people like you to say 'hey - I want some too!' and play more to make it happen, but in your case, they seem to have failed based on the fact that you chose to ditch your stuff and bail instead.

Many players now just have no opportunity to receive Lionsmane set. It is so difficult to understand it?
You are pissed off that new players also want to get a pvp set? Or what? What are you excited?
