Needless Distractions not completing (HE won't check off)

The last week or so I've noticed that Needless Distractions (IWD Daily) on all my toons does not seem to complete. The Complete one Heroic Encounter does not mark off, no matter how many HEs I've completed.

I first thought it was due to one of my characters having the quest longer than a week (few days ago i logged and got a system message saying it was out of date). I've dropped it, waited a new day and re-picked up. On all my toons, however it still refuses to complete. There are a few others in my guild who have had the same issue, but then the majority do not.

Halp? I'm lucky enough to have finished the IWD campaign, so don't need the rep, but there are others that do.

I've had a problem with it not counting Demonic HEs on my DC. I had to do a normal HE on Icewind pass to get it to complete.

It used to count any HE.

Possibly the recent fix to make it impossible to show no objectives has tweaked the requirements in some strange way?

I still cant get any HE in any zone on any of my 4 toons to complete Needless Distractions, no matter how many times I drop the quest and wait till the next day. *sadface*

So... the bug is apparently only with Needless Distractions, as I am having no issues with Safe Keeping.

As such, I am going to look on you sternly and say it is your just desserts for siding with the nefarious and power-hungry.

I had this happen last night and when I was in "dwarven valley" I asked in chat about it not clearing and was told that it only works if you do the HE in the "pass" so after a few tries to find an instance that actually had people in it, I ran one of the demonic HE's and it cleared it.......I don't know when they changed it or if it actually states that you have to do the HE in the pass, but it did allow me to clear the quest

Having the same problem with my SW with Needless Distractions. I did try going to the 'pass' but couldn't find anyone doing anything. My SW is only at 2.1k ilvl, so she can't solo an HE yet. Will see if I can catch a DHE in there tomorrow and hope that solves the problem. She does need the rewards for completing this one as she is only just starting out in IceWind Dale. Useful that the Demon Hunter Quest also awards coins and reputation or she would be nowhere.

@strumslinger / @terramak - so it appears that the IWD AB reputation quest (Needless Distractions) is not completing when you do HEs in Dwarven Valley, and only when you complete a HE within Icewind Pass. Can someone check this one please?

FYI this is happening for me as TT (Safe Keeping) as well.
