what was the purpose of lvl 70 update and making game more challenging if the forums are now filled with players posting them soloing the hardest epic dungeons?
we are back to point 0.
+
What about Fable Set on SWs? Will you update it or maybe fix it?
What about reactivating the old dungeons?
What about challenging dungeons/encounter for player with 3,5k iLevel or higher?
why is it that some areas like ValindraTower/dread ring/PvP siege are so laggy
and in general it's always no smooth whenever there is an OP around me !
First are issues related to old gear. SW is doing insane huge damage with old MC set. DC is buffing way too much with old High Prophet set. I heard about some CWs still running in HV... These sets should have been removed from the game or at least abilities they give removed. Leave visuals for collectors.
Second, performance and lag issues. There are some areas that are often laggy, dread ring, well of dragons, . May it be because of many players in one instance, maybe some abilities that couse server lag (KV-GF encounter, CA-HR atwill, DC-AS atwill and HG daily, there might be more). Reducing number of players in one instance might help.
Third, there are still some bugs in dungeons, eg. eCC adventurers party respawns occasionally, if you kill last member of the group neer room exit. Final boss in eCC and eToS can be bugged. There are few places in dungeons where you can avoid enemies easily (eToS, eGWD). In eLoL some mobs are missing (right lane after 2 golems) or it takes them forever to arrive (after scorpions) this is annoying.
Fourth thing is to consider how well (or not) some classes are performing. GWF is much better dps than any other (no bugs involved). Only some TRs might be atlevel when fighting single enemy. Other DPS classes are much worse. At ilvl 2.5k with elol set GWF outdps most of 3k or even better CWs, HRs, SWs, some TRs, depends on dungeon. There is some kind of bug with SW soul puppet involved. It might hit for hundrets of thousands dmg in single blows. While it's very high, if no puppet arround SW perform not good at all. This class (SW) should be remaked, to make it viable without bugs and exploits.
Last thing is to allow players (guildies, friends) to play together 'raids' like Tiamat, Demogorgon and any future raids together without tricking or exploiting queue system or putting faith in random allocation. Let us make proper raid party and play with people we want!! Make it possible only in one place (guildhall will be great) where player may enter and create special group and then join special queue for 10 or 25 plp only. Many players wait for this way too long.
Suggestion for developing the game. I'd love to see old dungeons remakes. Some of them could be for experienced and well geared players others stay in line as actual t1 or t2. I'd like to see a challange for 3.5k+ players!
1. Mark Drains and Ring of Demogorgon remove for use in PVP.
2. More maps for Domination
3. Lag. Very important
4. Bug with icy rais It does not work for a few seconds.
5. Balance class. this time 1 GWF , 2 ROGUE, 3 GF, 4 DC , 5 CW , 6 HUNTER , 7 WARLOK and Paladin is Over. Balanced please.
6. life steal ???? I do not need much life steal ( pvp or pve ). In this moment DC or Paladin or GWF They used less.
7. All queues of pve more more dificult please and back old dungeons (CN, etc).
8. 2 bars of power for change fast. For example: a) power bar for multitarged b) power bar unitarged
I have many things that bother me, but feel these are the ones with the highest priority at this time:
- Demo, Edemo and Tiamat Campers. It has gotten so bad I simply don't do it anymore. I was in a Edmo where we got gold in first round, Narrowly missed gold in second and then 5 players simply went and stood by camp fire. This is happening more and more now.
- PVP over power is causing many to simply not bother. Can the queuing process maybe be looked at put players with higher rankings against each other.
- The wait time on Stronghold PVP is also ridiculous ... I have waited more than a hour and just got tired and went and did a dungeon
- Would it be possible to look into a small guild and large guild system. Even though my guild is doing fine(slow but steady) with the progress it just seems that small guilds are getting the short end. Not all guilds want to have 150 players and the current system only cater for guilds with 150 Players
- Gathering motes is also getting a bit ridiculous. I have done it on 3 characters with no problem (takes a long time but that is life). Currently (esp.Fire ) you get to the HE instance and then there is 2 (if you are lucky) players. Since most players have there nodes already this will be a big problem for future players.
Even though I might seem a bit over critical at times I would just like to say I Like the recent improvements and the attempt to listen to the player base ... thank youRIP Real Tiamat, RIP Real Demogorgon RIP real Temple of the spider. Why remove non bis content to give to bis players ????
FORCING the majority of your player base to play 4 mod old dungeons and trial will have a bad result on player base
Changes are getting so bad i would rather prefer no new changes (RIP ICE FISHING in winter fest)
Bring the fun back!
The Foundry
To me, the sad status of the foundry is a major issue. I am not talking about the bugs, or the fact that the assets available to foundry creators are badly out of date - while those things need a fix, they will not solve the underlying problem, which is much bigger - namely that the players do not consider the foundry worth spending time on. This is for the very simple reason that the effort/reward ratio is way to low. Sure, there are players that will play the foundries for RP reasons - people that enjoy the stories, but sadly, they are a minority of the playerbase. Now, I can understand that you do not want to put resource nodes or better chest rewards into player-created content - that would simply be an recipe for massive exploits, but please, please do something. The foundry could have been a major attraction, but today it is really just an embarrassment - players do not play the foundry content, which really discourages foundry creators.
The easiest solution would probably be to seriously increase the final chest rewards, but make them character bound (to make them worthless to bots). Alternatively, what about giving stronghold vouchers as foundry rewards? That would make them worth running, without disrupting the economy.
Lack of high-level challenges
Many high-level players complain about a lack of challenge. Sure, they may get a challenge when fighting against other equally overgeared players in PvP, but as far as the PvE content is concerned, there is no real challenge for the best geared and most skilled players.A lack of challenge leads to boredom, and bored players are not good customers. It makes perfect business sense to provide this segment of the player base with appropriate challenges to keep them interested.
The easiest solution would probably be to introduce a new tier of difficulty of some of the existing content, with an appropriate increase in rewards. You could have something like a "regular" version of a dungeon (say, with TiL requirement of 1600), an "epic" version (TiL of 2400) and a "legendary" version (Til of 3000+)
Just make sure the rewards scale as well.
Who do I play with?
People like to play together with their friends, or people that they trust to be competent and not leeches or just complete jerks.Unfortunately, that' is not the case today. You have content like Tiamat or Demogorgon, but no control over who you play with. I am sorry, but this is simply bad design. There is no excuse for this. Just consider something like a guild wanting to do a guild-only run. It's just not possible - sure, you can try to rely on timing, have two 5-man parties try to get into Demogorgon at the exact same time - sometimes it works, sometimes not.
I am not here for a lottery regarding who I play with. This needs fixing - there is no way around that. Please implement a mechanism for to allow larger groups sign up together for this type of content, say a form for 2 or 5 parties. The current systems just frustrates and irritates people - and, as I pointed out before, frustrated and irritated players are more likely to go way. Make people happier, and they will be more willing to spend money on the game - making this a win-win situation.
Masterwork
The whole masterwork design is pretty much a fiasco. It needs serious rethinking. Now, I had high hopes for it, and I am pretty much the type of player that Masterwork crafting should appeal to - I have my Forgehammer of Gond and multiple professions at 25, but I really don't see Masterwork as anything for me. The first reason is that I am in a guild that is not even close to reaching the required guild hall level soon. The Masterwork system is geared towards the largest guilds, and quite frankly, that annoys a good chunk of your playerbase. The second issue is that the masterwork is not really worth it. There is significant cost in doing the masterwork quests for each profession - now, I am actually fine with that - spending a few million AD on a masterwork profession is just fine with me. What I am not fine with, however, is that it's just not worth the effort. There is only a small number of items (in particular Rosegold rings) that could possibly be crafted and sold profitably, but the rest? Sorry, the rest of the crafted stuff just does not compare with other equipment that can be obtained otherwise with less effort and/or cost.
Masterwork is pretty much pointless, that's the sad fact.
I am not sure how to fix this, but my primary suggestion would be to allow masterwork crafting to create items that do not compete with other stuff. One example could be something like mount saddles that would provide mounts with some equip bonuses. That's something people would love and it could give masterwork crafting a real reason to exist.
Spamming and botting
While many (or probably most) players on the PC platform appreciate the fact that botters make items like enchantment stacks available at a reasonable price, the lack of action against them is really annoying. I am sick and tired of the trade channel being made useless as it is flooded with spam from goldsellers. I am sick and tired of disruptive friend requests from people I have never partied with or spoken to.Please implement some automatic filtering to get rid of this annoyance. For example, if a number of people report someone as spamming over a short period, give that person a "guilty until proven innocent" treatment - auto block them from messaging for X days or whatever.
Class balancing
There are players that keep demanding "class balancing" for various purposes - but frequently in order to make the classes "more equal" in PvP.Unfortunately, this has on several occasions really hurt PvE. One example being way back, when rogues were capable of doing the largest amount of damage against single opponents. This made them really useful in dungeons, in particular boss fights, but of course, excessive damage against single opponents was unbalancing in PvP, so the Rogues were "nerfed", which really hurt their usefulness in PvE.
There are other examples, but what it boils down to is quite simple....when you have made "balancing" changes because of complaints from one segment of the player base, you may annoy an even larger number of players.
My suggestion is simple. if you feel that you must make changes to a particular power/ability/boon/feat/whatever, please, please consider making the changes situational, such as working differently against players vs. monsters, or in groups vs. solo play. You have done this a few times, but a lot of resentment and annoyance could have been avoided if this had been done more often.
And finally....
Please, please fix the bonding runestone bug that causes the stones to proc far too often if the companion dies. I consider this a bug, not an exploit, as it happens unintentionally, but it is VERY annoying to people that want to play "legit".I could have listed a hundred or more additional minor issues, but unless you can fix the big "not fun" issues, that would pe pointless, as the playerbase will just continue to shrink. If you want to keep the players happy and encourage them to spend their time (and money) in the game, fix the things that make the game "not fun" to play.
Please.

1. Can the purple Epic (link) Foundry Silverback Bear get added to the list of orange Legendary mounts? I'm only 2 authoring achievements away from my bear. =/
2. Can you please curate the game? It's getting dusty as hell in this old museum. Newlife needs to go further + encompass more.
3. You guys see any Panda's around the office lately? Have they gone extinct?

Thanks for all the fish.
1) Hunter ranger encounter named fox cunning provides a dodge but it does not "shield" from control effects like a dodge should. They also generally lack damage and playability in archery and combat trees.
2) Bonding runestones are stacking more than 3 times and thats a bug. I think they are giving even when working right too many stacks/stats making the game difficulty trivial.
3) Ambush rings allow players and some classes to be near always stealthed. A cooldown is needed.
4) Feytouch has 100% uptime making all other enchantments awful.
5) Are you aware of Gwf damage being out of control allowing them to effectively solo T2 contents like proven in "pve discussion" and many youtube videos? [this is a concern]
6) DEMOGORGON reward is all but based on final rank. Legendary rings are a dream and virtually obtainable even with a bronze rank. After 250 edemo i have yet to see a legendary ring drop, its stressful. Let us refine rings up to legendary if we want or fix the drop rate. This is really important.
7) BUG Hunter ranger: swiftness of the fox and forestbound feats do not reduce cooldowns of encounter with charges like cordon of arrow and hindering shot
8) BUG Hunter ranger: pathfinder actions [class features] doesnt provide the promised 5% deflect at rank 1.
QoL CHANGE:
1) can you please consider the possibility to allow to unslot reinforcement kits from gear?
every mod releases obviously new stuffs but many of us just give up on the new grind for this very reason.
2. What's new about Foundry Bugs?
3. What's about Foundry support? Maybe not a full team but one or two people to work with this mess?
4. Can you give us more but smaller patches? That would be nice.
5. I really appreciate the "communication by Q&A", however maybe you should have people to read this forum? There already is a lot of usefull stuff.
And one last thing, thanks for this opportunity to ask you direct questions. It's wonderful idea. Maybe one Q&A stream per few months?
Thanks for future answers!

Any of my comments not posted in orange are based on my own personal opinion and not official.
Any messages written in orange are official moderation messages. Signature images are now fixed!
And on the subject of artifacts, can we please see some more variety in stats please? Shard of Valindra's Crown and Belial's Portal Stone are identical, as is Eye of Lathander an Bruenor's Battle Helm. There are probably others but I'm too lazy to look them all up. Get creative guys! Enough rehashing of old content, gear yada yada.
The most important thing in life is to be yourself. Unless you can be Batman. Always be Batman.
If dev's want to know which bugs should be fixed, then it's enough to spend 30 minutes on forum and read - all are listed plenty of time, most of them reported multiple times, most of them well know for a months.
Do we really need an "event" for that?
More important for me is to know:
What devs plan to do, to keep players in this game? Fixing few bugs isn't enough, trust me.
And other question: Can we expect a list of major (in dev's opinion) bug and ETA of fixes?
If not - then, well.

Being forced to group with unsocial people just so they can grind out their daily rewards is not fun. We need more options, and were promised them when the leadership changes happened. We are still waiting.
2. Balance. When?
3. Will the constant lag in IWD and DR ever be addressed? Waiting 2-3 seconds or even longer for abilities to fire or just trying to pick up an item makes for a very frustrating time.
PS. Where is @goatshark? Why is he not involved with this or does he not work at Cryptic any more?
