GUYS something is terrible wrong.. long time, veteren , legit players are getting banned left and right today.. dozens and dozens I know and played with personally.

SOMETHING is giong on with your script and it needs to be looked at ASAP.

IN ADDITION you need to roll back all suspensions in the last 24 hours.

What a effing merry Christmas present to yoru player base!

Clearly something was done wrong in the last 24 hours to do this.

Im afraid to even open up presents, this seems to be part of the problem.

ASAP! sort of thing guys, DONT screw around more then 20 mins on this... you are in serious trouble here, if you lose even half the people you suspended overnight, the game will be in a world of hurt.

And doing it before a long holiday while they know there are innocent players banned - "If you are one of these players and have done nothing wrong, please submit a ticket to our customer service so they can review your account." - I can't find words, really.

I would say that praying on 50 chars is not what Cryptic had in mind when they created this game. Therefor its a design flaw and exploiting such a flaw with or without a bot could been sen as breaking the TOS agreement. BUT I do not think thats the case here. I think they banning players who has 20+ toons and were collecting the Winter Festival boxes every day. Thats basically the same thing as praying, its a design flaw but a bit more serious than praying since you can get companions and artifacts that cost millions of AD.

But maybe still not that serious in the players eyes and thats why its widely accepted by the playerbase and thats why people are angry and do not even understand why they got a ban. Question is if Cryptic will change their mind about it and let it go or not. I think maybe not since they knew from the start how many would get banned and they still banned them. But who knows, maybe the christmas spirit will change their mind and unban them.

I think if they ban people with a lot of toons because of parcels, it is a big mistake. I hope it is not intentional and should be resolved soon.

I was collecting on all 28 of mine and got the 7 day suspension. If they are gonna allow us to play the toons we should be allowed to play the toons!

I collected on 24 chars daily and got a nice email to take a 7 day break from neverwinter.

A little bit sad, because I was looking forward to winterfest for months and enjoyed the tension during opening of the present - so now, there are no nice companions, no retrain tokens, no free transmutions, ... and on top of that loosing vip keys.

Additionally after heavy workload during pre-christmas days, I was looking forward to enjoy the game with my family and my guild - that fact hurts most.

but it's just a game - so happy christmas to everyone, even the banning crew

53 characters here, collecting all parcels manually and not even invoking because who has time to invoke six times a day when you're collecting 53 parcels. Also got the 7 day ban.

I have 20 chars, I invoke once a day and reset the tasks on all of them. I invoke on some of them more often, while I play. I opened gifts on all of them. Not in one rush, but some at a time.

No bot would invoke and claim gifts on 3 chars, run a dungeon, invoke and claim gifts on 5 more, play for an hour, invoke and claim gifts on some more etc.

I have 25 character slots and 20 lvl 70 chars. How can someone claim, 'we sold you 25 character slots, but if you play with 20 of them or use them, you are exploiting the system'. Thats plain stupid.

I wrote a ticket and I still wait for a reply.

If there is a policy against using more then 20 toons, then they have to be upfront and CLAIM that.

they cant BOTH sale slots up to 50 whatever and ALSO tell you you cant use them.. thats garbage.

They cant have it both ways..

Im ok with a limit, but then what do you do with the people who already paid and bought more then 20 slots?

This is what happens when people who dont have a clue about the game make rulings that they have no real right to make.

I wish I could cast steal time against them sometimes =P omgz.

You're in the same boat as everyone else, tons of us got banned but no reason was given. Did you have many characters? Were you claiming parcels on all of them?

i have 51 characters and claimed parcels on all of them. but as everybody, i didnt had any clue that this was an exploit.

This is getting to be a habit already. Second time in a row i'm getting banned for no reason just like that. Funny how previous time was also in December ... last year! They were a bit earlier in the month then thou with the ban wave so there was more time to "fix" the problem with the customer support and STILL catch the holidays. Poor planning guys...
On a more serious note really... fix whatever script or whatnot ur using to detect these so called glitchers and evil ppl that u keep banning craptic, many of them aren't that. What a great present u have us this year..

They have the ability to limit per account how many of what you get, as they did with the demonic ichor. Instead of banning people for doing something on more characters than they would prefer, just set a limit to one char or an account limit. Problem solved. IF, and that is a huge IF, they are banning for picking up parcels on multiple toons manually (which to be honest, with the repetitive nature with EVERYTHING in this game, what doesnt look like botting these days), that is really a case of getting their cake and eating it (getting zen for the slots, then banned for using them).

I have a feeling there is more to it than this though....I really hope there is.

Well that's what happens when you use bots and scripts as jury and executioner I suppose.

I didn't get banned, yet. But it certainly would be anti-climatic after I gave the company $70 last month. Then after a bunch of innocent people get banned, what about a *select* few who have over 50 companions from the event sitting on the AH? I suppose they can squirm their way back and make a huge profit still.

They should have been banned at the time for the exploit then not something else. This wide screen net hit a lot of players who play within their rules. Changing the rules on people mid run is a joke. This company has shown itself to be very unprofessional. But they are damn willing to take the money for the extra slots. Either let us use all our slots or limit them and give us the money back.

They need to set down hard rules not make the player base guess!

I was banned for that stupid thing, I don't know what could you have done to get banned from the game but I'm not happy and do would not call for a ban like you, or your friend, did in the past. HAMSTER can happen to anyone, eventually devs will show mercy if it is not that bad.

It was probably me (sorry for not remembering for 100%, i dont pay much attention to ppl of ur kind), and i stand my ground, u should be banned, not neccessary for using this exploit, but for being smart enought to exalting what u did on forum and not seeing anything wrong with it. Also for any other things, like misleading ppl in ur guides (all of them tbh). So u know, maybe go kindly to a corner, and shhhhhy.

I already heard sharp and some of my ingame friends were banned, i was afraid u were banned too, i didnt saw u, tat and ady online at all today. Sad to heard it m8.

A game company simply CANNOT sell you slots, then if you use them for in game promotions SUSPEND you for that.

That cannot be exploitation.. I simply will not believe some of the people suspended were running scripts, in fact I know for a fact fab would chat while doing his daily parcel opening..

Rules have to be FAIR and open.

Not nebulous and BASED after the fact with unknown reasons to ban people.

If this was truly due to a x # of limit of parcels opened per account.. activity. Then they should apologize to those players who they suspended.

Agree. With the same event for 3 years now they had time to fix any bugs or unintended use of the parcels. They really should not ban people for using multiple toons collecting them. IF thats the reason behind the bans.
