I finally get into a PvP match. The first few seconds of the match I run to 2, while the rest of my team captures 1. That alone is usually clear sign that the teammates are newbs and the match is going to be a pain in the butt.
As an "immortal" DC, I kept 3-4 of the enemies busy on 2 or 3 for the rest of the match and I ran around capturing points that were under enemy control for way too long, while the rest of the team did god knows what. There were a few close calls, but we won. After like 20+ minutes it seemed like the enemies were kinda starting to give up on attacking me. At one point I was fighting two of them on their cap point and they just left... lol
And after 28 minutes of me constantly fighting against 3-4 enemies at once, the match is finally over. And this is the damn result:

I'm in the last place, of course.

At best that node is never going to make any points for either team. Defending a node against 2 or more players will put the node into making 0 points for both teams. Often times during matches like that where a DC decides to camp out... the opposition will put their DC there... or they will make it a 4v5 match on the remaining 2 nodes. Guess who wins that mach?
Last night I was in a GG match where a questionably talented OP camped out at different nodes. He was very difficult to kill... but because of his hesitance to move around and cap... his team lost.
Do you want to know how and why that could be?
With one person sitting on ONE node... the match becomes a 4v5 or a 9v10 match. I would think a DC or OP would do much better following around a GWF or a TR... allowing both of them to destroy large numbers of opponents while scoring and capping more.
I know for a fact that a DC+TR or a DC+GWF is a dominant duo because I have teamed up with one in Dom... and the opposition was crushed. Because we were able to challenge and repel any opponents while we were capping. In that time we both ended up with a ton of kills, points and assists.
I have never understood the concept of defending a node unless you were attacked while capping or killing before they cap. Standing on one node is ridiculous when all the opposition needs is 2 players to take it from you.
I understand I was in a match or maybe even that match we made a smart decision to own what ever 2 nodes the op was not at and came from behind and won At the end I defended their home node due to op was in center and all I had to do was keep it tied up so no points were scored for the last 30 seconds while the rest of my team tied up the op keeping the node 0 points with our home the only blue and scoring points we were able to win. I like those matches they are the best kind. To many times have I seen a team focus on every one killing the DC or OP at the beginning on center node and they lose the other nodes and can never recover.

Note I do understand the scoring does not reward defense play. I by far had the most kills and was playing defense the whole match with the hardest job and was the lowest score on the team due to the others were just running around capping
I wasn't just standing on one node the whole match. Doing that is obviously a bad strategy. I would try to capture or at least stand on enemy nodes as soon as possible. But, if I am fighting 3 people on one of the nodes it means that there is a 4vs2 situation on the other two nodes, which puts my team at a serious advantage.

The problem is that I am sick and tired of having a lame score even though I was the MVP of our team.

Don't even get me started on glory. 500 for almost constantly battling for 28 minutes? That might need a good rework along the PvP too.

and yeah.. u cant just "contest" a point in a 1v4.. the enemy would just cap it in seconds.. before u can do anything.. lol so i dont think that would work very well..
maybe in a 1v2 u can slow them down.. but they will still eventually cap it..
