Hi, guys yesterday I played on PVP battleground in many of the enconters I feel ussles, we cant kill anyone. I know that I am an avarage player like moust of us witch start to play 2-3 mounths ago, but this is ridiculous. I have the full grim set and 2 peaces of burning set, my GS is 2,1K, I dont have weapon and armor enchntments but I dont have the mony for that. I played WOW and when you hit 100lvl and do some PVP and little bit of dungeons you can kill amoust every avarage player like you. Here paladin dont have damage dont have speed, shift not allays work, divine jujement can to enough. Can anyone tell me what to do, I think that the game is fun but a hate the moments when paladins fight and bouth cant do anything. In PVE we are pointles too, yes we can take damage but mobs die so slow.
A Devotion Paladin is better with DPS than a Protection Paladin; the Justice branch is best in that case, but even a Devotion/Justice specced Paladin is a bit light on DPS compared to other classes, even a Guardian Fighter. A Protection Paladin on the other hand delivers what may be the worst DPS in the entire game among all classes and races.
And that's perfectly fine the way I see it.
Because the Protection Paladin is all about being a brick wall; its about taking as much damage as possible, including taking the 'bullet' for other members of your party and still being alive at the end of it.
When a skirmish or dungeon is finished and the player stats box appears everyone is trying so hard to be the top "Damage Dealt" or "pain-giver'. PFFFT. A really good Protection Paladin doesn't care about that silliness. What a really good Protection Paladin cares about most is being number one in "Damage Received".
When you are always number one in Damage Received you should be proud about that. Very proud. Anyone including a monkey can pull a trigger and deal DPS damage. But only a stout ballsy brick wall can take it all and ask for more.

If you want to do damage, as paladin, in pvp...you need to be both devotion OP justice specced WITH burning guidance and know another devotion justice OP WITH burning guidance who can queue with you. The idea is you troll the same nodes and the heals from 1 pally bounces off the other. You keep each other alive, hold the node and let burning guidance deal with any threats.
Still though, I really do not recommend this, its super trolly as 2x devotion pallies doing this together tends to generate lag and lots of it, so rather, forget about doing this and stick to playing nicely with other people
Contrary to popular opinion you can kill people you just have to be aggressive and actually look at your moves, and of course just pick your fights to focus on. I've killed several myself, I just don't use direct damage attacks and actually use our debuffs instead, as that will help us generate more damage quickly than relying on direct damage. Many you will want to focus on tanking others you can just focus on and kill people.
But killing people is not the main worry, as your best asset, if played right is you can keep an entire team of baddies occupied at one area while the rest of your team goes and captures things, if the rest of your team is smart, anyways.
well pally has taken over the tank class what the gf used to be but without the option to go a fair dps spec lets be honest. pally dps sucks. they do need a at will buff.i dont play one btw. i do agree with DJ nerf but they should have given buffs to counterbalance it with. and even i said not to nerf it so hard. anyways on topic gf does way more dps now so its not a comparison to a pally. a pally really is only meant for tanking/healing the best thing i can tell you is to just try to make the mobs hit you. even as a cw with only 70k hp i do that and still get a great success if i want to i know usually they cc mobs fast but thats life in this game. i apologize for how difficult im sure this is.
I'm not experiencing these problems (admittedly I'm not hard up for enchants or atifacts), and really only have an issue when confronted with dedicated PvP players (seeing how I'm PvE geared, this is expected). It is however impossible to really give advice while knowing nothing about your character other than a few bits of gear or your play choices.
Obsidian Moonlight - Paladin Obsidian Oath - Warlock A whole lot of other Obsidian toons as well.

I think now the problem is a few exploiters are coming out to. I know in an earlier match I was fighting, through several victories I beat a GF really no issues. Then all the sudden the GF starts taking huge chunks out of my health bar in single attacks, and this was lone fighting, so yea, I have a feeling the exploiters are in full play now cause everyone wants to win.
So for me, back to not caring about PvP in a Cryptic game and playing games dedicated solely to PvP for my fix.
Well with a PvP event that's a given pretty much. I want to PvP with my GWF (sub-70) to get some gear, but its probably not worth it. Still that's irrelevant to my prior questions/comments.

For Paladins: it's about staying power.

What is your build?
