30 characters, 2 are level 70 already and 15 or so are between levels 61 to 65. Many will become level 70 from a combination of invocation, leadership, and vigilance questing. I imagine as I get characters to 70, some will reach closer or may even reach level 70 by invoking and leadership while I level other characters. Besides my main paladin, my characters that aren't even level 60 yet will probably be the only ones that get to 70 without questing.
Yes the repetitiveness of things are one thing that bothers me. Another thing is, most of these characters still sport the old T2 gear. And instead of wasting the AD on greens that only boost HP.. It's bad enough I can't just farm my gear the normal way or drop reasonable upgrades while questing. So I might as well make it as fun as it can be. And there are more than enough foundries I haven't tried on those characters. Foundry > grinding by a long shot, even if it is a tad slower. I don't care much about the speed of things as long as I'm having some fun. That's why I play games at my age.
Well, 68/69 random blues are like 500 AD per piece on the AH, and sufficient, HP-wise. And replacements for rings etc. are not really necessary. "Piercing" stuff for the ArPen buff to make the mini-bosses easier might be a tad higher. So 2k AD / char once you're up at 68/69. You might wish for these in the Foundry, too, eventually - opponents there are level-adaptive, aren't they?
But yeah, going through _all_ the grind is meh, very much so... Though I've decided to only keep 5-6 chars active for now. SW got mothballed for the moment. Two more to go - my HR, and my (intended for reactivation) GWF.
Still, getting Dragon Gem etc. might prove way more expensive, and SoT and LoL... ...umm... ...well. That was my thinking.

I endured the grind with one character. With the 2nd, I leveled him to about 67 through leadership and invocation, then did 16 vigilance quests to get him to 70. The rest will get to 70 via leadership and invocation because I don't enjoy spending all my gold on injury kits or doing dailies with a party.
I ran my main character (GWF) though the vigilance quest series just to see the content. The 6 of the remaining 16 characters are currently level 70 with the 8 of characters being one to two days away to reaching 70 (so 14 by invocation). The last two (both OP) are currently level 60 via invocation.
To be honest it is more feasible to level the characters using the ToD quests to both get the boons and the quest for the main hand weapon.

It's easy and fast for a level 70 with level 70 gear to do the vigilance zones; you could do it in 24Hrs if you wanted to. It would take weeks for you to collect 15 Linu's Favor in WoD in order to buy the Mainhand. Or you could blow through Drowned Shore to Spinward Rise and get the mainhand for free, all in two days, then weeks later, once you finally collect 15 Linu's Favor you can use them to buy the Greater Cloak... which is best, eh?

you dont buy the main hand with linus favors. you buy it with resources like the old dragon main hands.
Given the state our current module is atm, I felt it was necessary to level up the core classes needed/wanted in runs. Core classes (in my opinion) being the:
1.) Tank 2.) Healer 3.) Crowd Controller.
So I dusted off the GF (Lord Manntis), DC (Matron Manntis) and the CW (Manntis).
As much "fun" as I had leveling those 3 classes up to 70, the end result was very rewarding. Now when we do guild/pug runs, if we lack heals, we now have a healer at our disposal. Same with a tank, Suuuuure, no prob, lemme switch characters.
In Conclusion, I chose these 3 classes to level to 70 and gear up so the group will always have a core class needed for runs.
I see. But still, it only takes a couple play sessions for a level 70 to do vigilance zones.
i agree. i just wish it wasnt so boring. id much rather not do them and buy them with my leadership army. but then again i really only play my main and i pvp a lot too.

...these are also the classes that have the least trouble with the situation in the leveling zones, plus TR due to stealth being a great exit button if needed. Doesn't ameliorate the tediousness, though.

I got my main leveled through the vigilant quests. The other 13 are either getting or have gotten to level 70 through invoking. Although I did run all the others through the introductory quests to Elemental Evil.
I've got around 20 level 70s now, all primarily via leadership/invoking. I did some ToD dragon quests on a few, skirmishes on others, and just one have I made any effort with on the new zones. I didn't even come close to getting through all four zones, though. That is some of the laziest, garbage content I've ever seen in an MMO. And MMOs in general are havens for lazy, garbage content.
So at least Neverwinter has found a way to "shine" in comparison to other MMOs.
Don't Panic.
Okay, Panic.

I took my two mains through EE, but I'm never doing that area again. So in the meanwhile, invoke, invoke, invoke!
