Post your week-end RNG horror stories!

So with the 2x rp weekend at almost an end, lots of refining happened.

Now I heard lots of complaint about the RNG over the w-e nothing new here but could be fun to hear everyone's horror stories.

I will start with mine.

Having to complete my Lathander set, I thought I would spend some hard earn ADs on Thayan Priceless antiquities.
4+ millions worth giving 163 Star Metal Gauntlets(the orange one giving you a "better" chance) hoping to refine it this weekend.

So I set out to do Death Forge with my level 65 TR (owner of the other 2 pieces) and conquer Jawbone fairly easily spending 5 health stone and about 10 Major health potions died twice, no big deal.

I then start to open that coffer and with my 164 attempts(daily adamantium gauntlet included) I got: 0 Eye of Lathander:eek:.

Plenty of refining items but hardly 4 millions AD worth.

    98 pres wards to upgrade 3 artifact items to legendary was the worst that I had, other than that it was a good weekend for me.

    Man what the ****? 4M AD for the Star Metal gauntlets? We concluded that they weren't worth it at the very middle of module 2.

    On topic: Everything was good for me, with the exception that I couldn't achieve what I wanted to achieve unfortunately. Maybe next time.

    Wasted 93 preservation wards on upgrading an artifact from legendary to mythic ._.

    I don't have horror stories, I have normal operating procedures. My cleric spent 38 Wilderness kits on a node in Drowned Shore. I only kept going to for my own statistics and because kit cost is really not much of an issue.

    I routinely fail upgrades 8 to 10 times at a 90% success rate, which nearly doubles at each subsequent harder upgrade tier.

    So, be grateful that you only occasionally have problems, RNG is never in my favor nor is it even reasonable.

    Worst: 152 Pwards to upgrade one single R11 to R12 enchantment.
    Best: Succeeded a mythic artifact on 2nd try (Great Weapon Sigil!) :D

    Ough! 152 P-wards is more expensive than one C-ward.
