Mod 6: A Case For Companions to be Bound To Account

Oh yes, it's certainly time for companions to be BoA. We've been given a free Respec due to the feat changes. We've been forced into giving up all of our hard-earned purple gear. We're effectively starting over.

The thing is, while we can respec feats and powers, obtain new equipment, and move enchantments and runestones, we have no way of adjusting/altering/changing our companions.

Making companions BoA would allow the years of effort that people have spent growing and evolving them, actually become a worthwhile task again. I have three toons and a total of 20 purple companions between them. Why not make them BoA so that I may optimize their stats between my characters? Mod 6 has certainly pushed a HUGE rebalance on every player. Please don't forget the companion part of the equation! I'm holding off going for the post-35 leveling in the hopes that I might see the BoA upgrade actually happen.

    100% right man, i got alot of companions too, but because of mod 6, i stop used my hunter ranger and made a CW insted,
    and ofc i lost all my companions becasue you cant trade them over

    ...wish it'd come true, but I suspect ZEN companions are a major source of the Cryp's income.

    Would love to see it happen but I doubt it will unless they maybe make tokens for sale in the zen store to make a companion account bound instead of character for like 300 zen or something

    Agreed. Got a war dog in a pack, so I thought that one would fit my GWF thematically. Turns out the pup gives reduced threat bonus - my cleric could have used that instead. :(

    ...especially since this a super-rare, 1-per-account-only pet from the "First-buyer"-bonus pack. Meh. My condolences...

    Given that Cryptic probably sees a good amount of income generated from the companion market, I would only ask for something like razlorus suggested above or even a one-time-only 'unbind token'. I personally only need to be able to move my companions around once in order to compensate for the changes in Mod 6...
    I'm going to miss my purple skeletal dog the most. :)
