I was fond of the new zones until I reaches spinward rise. Of course the lag is horrible but I don't think the falls into the designers domain. Good job on the map, it was actually kinda fun even with the lag. Giants are alway's fun to fight and the jumping from earth node to earth node was pretty cool. I only leveled my main so far, kinda looking foward to them fixing the lag issue in that zone so we can get the full effect without the frustration on our alts. Good job to the designers of that area. It's one of the few zones that doesn't feel like it was just thrown together.

Agreed. Spinward Rise does look really good to me. It's just a pity all that lag spoiled my experiences there. Won't be going back with my second toon until the lag is addressed. And I'm also glad they introduced those node jumping quests, something other than mindless grinding and killing is always welcome.
Our pain is self chosen.

The map is beautiful, the glider tasks are fun, and the last part with the cloud giants, too. Parts 1 + 2 are, while optically fine, only just meh gameplay-wise. Same story as The Chasm: Great views, but else...
...at least this time the finale was a bit better. Though the recycled Celadaine's Tower kinda wrecks it in the end, again. :^/
I like that you actually progressed upwards in a circle through Spinward Rise. I see what they did there. The tucked away paths with the owlbears guarding treasure were curious. And knowing the giants were waiting for me on island three was fun while I quested through the first two. When I finally managed to jump off the map it teleported me to a warp pad which was weird. But all in all good.
