is because most of the other people on my team speak zero english

ask them to cover whatever objective, or leave an objective to defend another, or just give general strategy

and your'e responded with russian or polish or brazilian and a "f u" in there

why does it have to be this way :(

it almost feels like being foreign = license to play dumb

I suggest - learn some languagues over your native. Or at least simple phrases to give them a guess on what you want them to do.

The poblem is not the langage barrier. I play mostly with other german players and even the guys with not even basic understanding of the english language know the basics like 'go to 1', cap 2' or 'defend 3', bc we told them.

Your problem with 4 ppl on your team chating in french, german, polish or any other language is most likely, that they are a bunch of PvE players queing premade. ELO matches premades with premades, so there are 4 8k french 'premades' and me against a full EoA premade, thats the fun part (happened to me).

Most of the times (not allways) I end up against a BIS PvP premade with 4-12k players in my team and I ask, if someone qued premade I get: a)no answer b)we did, so what? or c) a we dont speak english in various languages.

Once a few 8k players said, that they qued premade and I told them about the match making system. One of them said 'so basicly we ****ed you, sorry dude'.

IMO its ELOs, not the foreign players fault.

If even formulated a bit strange, i do have to give the Op right. I am a hungarian dude, but as we say here, "the golden ring didn't fall of my finger" and i have mastered the basics of english.

While i too agree on the faults of matchmaking aka putting together players with different language settings, i still find it politely speaking odd, if one youngster in the 21th century can't learn a few basic words, while playing an MMO, it is kinda lazy.

I for example wouldn't dare to touch a french cooking book, without knowing at least, how to say salt in french. Game is the same, people can play the PVE part and don't pose any threat to team mates, but in PVP it is elemental to be able to know the fundamentals.

I too have witnessed this phenomenon and most time i have tried to tell foreign 8ks, what to do i got only 1 word back, cause it's very international, everybody knows it, even non english natives, yep the word with "F". If one could learn this, surely "base" or "home" wouldn't be a huge thing to ask.

I still think it is a case of. . .

    a) PVEers that should not be in PVP. These players have terrible attitudes as they are often the first people to camp and moan when they get killed in two hits.
    b) Idiots
    c) Low GS players

. . .not caring to listen when you offer advice. I have even asked people ''do any of u speak english?'' after asking them to do something and they don't. More often than not a few will say ''yes'', followed by verbal abuse.

I've come across players that can't even speak English but know basic PVP instructions in English. One Polish guy asked me to do something, I done it and when I tried to talk to him again he said he does not speak English, so he obviously learnt basic commands. How hard is it to understand ''TR go 1'' or ''3 go 2''.

Complains about nothing../ Thats what I understand from this post.
First of all, remember that even english language is one of most used language, does not mean all speak in eng,
There are germany guys(kids) who do not speak in eng, there are guys from russia who prefer speak own language, I have in party guy who where from norway and he speak only own lanaguage + france.

Also its not a problem for you to learn some other languages. I speak my own country langauge, + english, also I understand russian, so I can also more less speak with polish guy.

Also now imagine guy from brasil, he speak own language and you speak english.. And he write same post as you have done. And he complain in same way, Why dude in voice chat speak eng instead his language..

And the best part is that in countless domination, dungeon runs with party I have ussed voice chat only 3 times. Most of time I spent by listening music, and probably I am not the only one who do it.

I actually try a couple languages if people seem lost, but nothing ever really works. I have even spoke French to ppl with French guild tags...no response and same "run around like a chicken with it's head cut off" tactics.

Not much you can do but just play or campfire.

Well, at least you can share your love with them once you learn some appropriate words :)

The real problem is premade vs non premade. They need a solo q for only solo matches and a premade q for premades. Some people will argue "But I want to play with my 2 friends." In that case pick up 2 more people for a premade. People always complain that being a pug vs premades is not fun. It sucks being farmed. But it also sucks being the premade waiting 10 min on a q and having a match that is decided in 30 seconds. Ive been on both ends and until they are separated it is not going to fix itself.

indeed for me you either go solo or full premade.
if the matchmaking, playerbase pool cant handle fair mixed compositions those should not be allowed.

Usually people who don't speak English in MMOs are uneducated, call me racist or whatever, but If I didn't know the language I would feel handicapped and do anything in my power to learn it.

And it starts by NOT installing the game with your native language.

wait, I thought Russia had separate server, not that something like that would stop the russians but still.

Anyway, I don't communicate unless I'm really bored
also lol, if brazillian is a language we're all speaking American now. pfft

communication is the last problem i have in PVP

    thats my hitlist:

    1. matchmaking (could be 2.)
    2. players without any tenacity or clue what to do (could be 1.)
    3. broken classes
    4. in case of having no clue what to do, even communication doesn´t help, since these player comes PVP every day, if their "learnig-curve" has tendency to zero you waste your time, most ppl speak englisch imo, or understand at least a bit, so that is not the mayor problem i think

If you're not part of the solution, then you're probably part of the problem.
I've learned "pomocy", "hilfe", "help", "à l'aide" and so on. It's more than enough for the pvp here. If it was balanced then yes maybe some fine comprehension of elaborate military concepts would be required. But what is needed actually when all we do is running around while the respective TRs of each side are pvp-ing?

Finally) what a thread about pvp and not mention TRs ^^

in the first place - problem with zero english communication in pvp, right? Where it should be discussed? O'course, eu-forum) none of the guys rotatorkuf mentioned ever going to see and inderstand this)

In fact - yes, there *is* Drider - for russians and Dragon - for everybody else. Why not the only one? I really don't want to talk bad about my own kind, but you don't want to see what "normally" happens on ru-server. Just... believe me on that point. (it's exactly language-bareer that keeps eu-community from real freaks most of the time)
Of course, we've got some russians here, but it's always only personal choise. If I switch to eu-server, i accept that i should speak english, or, at least, be able to communicate properly if needed. Suppose every normal player, whatever french/german/chinese/... understand the fact.
Still, there are other problems more important in pvp, let's be honest. Not every player, whatever nationality can accept commands of someone else, we all think of yourself as non-newbie players and know better what to do. I often met matches where just nothing can be done, no matter how we try. Sometimes it's just matches where i personally remind - fight on node and so on - and we win.
It's really matter of matchmaking and persons who playing their first-second-third pvp match.
imho, all such occasions - just happens, let it be. Let's be more tolerant to each other, in long-run terms i met more fine people both pve and pvp.

    .
That's why many people chose not to play there. I don't say the concentration of toxic data base on Dragon is low but it's nothing compared to Drider. I still remember my fascinating experience when I leveled a 60 char in there. <.< iwishineverdid
We should also understand there are many "I don't give a ****" kind of guys and kids playing this game, most of them play just because they know what buttons they should smash and it's already complicated enough of them, there is no point to discuss them battle tactics. All you can do is hope they will come to 2 to get slaughtered while you're backcapping or trying to survive on a node against a saboteur. It will never change.
